[Steel Strike]

Mainstreet: A large Street that goes through Central Park, Downtown, and the Industrial District. Runs the entire length of the city.

This was once the backbone of Manehatten. Theaters, big stores and five star restaurants used to run its length. Now, it is a broken mess of debris, squalor, and danger. Most of the buildings are abandoned, with the exception of a few groups of legitimate stores and bars, mostly grouped near the north side of the park. Metal debris and glass litter the sides in large piles, almost blocking any access to more than a few roads. This still serves as the main access way into, out of, and through the city. Homeless and wounded ponies sit on the sides, begging for what little they can get from any who are too generous. In the northern part of Main Street, the northernmost part of the city, it is relatively nice; not much debris and a lot of businesses. The farther south one moves, the worse things becomes, through the Park, Downtown, and eventually into the Industrial District. One will find the environment less and less inviting.
