[Steel Strike]

Outskirts: The area about fifty miles outside the city limits, mostly old farms converted to work camps.

The area outside the city is primarily made up of rolling hills, with mostly dead grass or wheat grass washing along it. Work camps scatter the landscape, mostly where there were any farms. Griffons patrol the skies routinely, but never much, making it relatively safe for ponies to wander around. The everfree forest touches the land to the north west, and the ruins of ponyville lie due west. Canterlot can be seen from some of the higher hills on less cloudy days. The air is alot colder here, and the wind is almost constantly blowing. Oddly enough, the scene is rather calming.
