Looking for Directions (Dated)

Breathing heavily the nerves grips me walking through the cold destroyed streets I think to myself "I don't know this place, why am I here" the product of griffon oppression is bringing a desperate sinking feeling like I am about to loose control.

It is just one of these generic days where Jack needed something he didn't have at home and had to buy it. He trots along a street and enjoys the warm afternoon sun on his face. For a short moment he closes his eyes, but continues walking. Suddenly he bumps into another pony. "Oh, I'm really sorry!" he says to the mare.

[Star Gazer]

"I...Its quite alright" I stutter looking at the pony sanding in front of me "W..Would you be able to give me directions to a supplies shop" my heart feels like it is going to beat out of my chest I cant let it happen again.

"A supply shop, huh? Well, what kind of supplies? Food, potions, magical supplies? We have many stuff here, even some of them are hidden, but I can show you the direction. It's the least I can do after I bumped into you." Jack says with a friendly smile."Are you new to Manehattan?"

[Star Gazer]

"I don't come down the mountain to often and I usually have what I need but my telescope has a broken lens and I need to fix it urgently" I notice I am getting somewhat over emotional but the starry sky is what keeps me going through the haunted nights.

"Huh, I didn't know that the observatory is still in use. A lense for a telescope could be tricky to find, since it isn't something you need every day. I'm not even sure if we should go to a glazier or an optician." Jack says and scratches his head "And if we find someone who can make it, expect it to be expensiv."
He slowly starts to walk "Well, the next optician should be this way.I can lead you to him, if you want."

[Star Gazer]

"thank you kind sir you don't know how much the stars mean to me I am really grateful" My stress builds as if I am about to lose myself "if that's alright with you"

As they trot along the street to the optician Jack decides to do some small talk. "The stars, huh?" Jack says and looks at her cutiemark "A very unlikely cutiemark for an astronomer. Did you build the telescope by yourself?"

[Star Gazer]

"I..I did it was a way to escape myself" I look at the stallion in font of me with a dull expression like there was a large absence.

"To escape yourself?" Jack says. Usually he wouldn't bother about the problems of other ponies, but he set an objective for himself. He wants to be more open to other ponies and therefore he stops and looks at the mare. "Do you want to explain that?"

[Star Gazer]

"Why the **** do you want to know about my **** you *******" I told the Stallion I couldn't stop myself. "You going to **** off or am I going to ******* make you" at that point I snapped out of the personality that had taken hold of me and turned to head back to the observatory "I'm sorry" I said as I started walking.

Jack is very surprised by her sudden mind change. "Woah, calm down. You don't have to tell me if you don't want to." Actually Jack can already guess what she meant, but doesn't say it. Sometimes talk is silver and sielnce is gold. "Well, here we are. The optician." he says as he turns into a side alley. "And if he can't make the lense you want maybe he knows somepony that can."

"Thank you for your help I am truly sorry for what happened" I looked at the stallion with hope that he might one day forgive my lapse. "If you need me the observatory is where I call home please don't tell anyone the Griffons will kill me for sure"

"It's no big deal and I'm sorry that I asked that question. I didn't mean to invade your privacy." Jack sighs. "I hope you'll find your lense here and if not just ask the optician. I bet he can help you to find somepony else. I need to go. Work is waiting. " he says with a smile and slowly trots away.

I walk back to the observatory thinking maybe this world isn't lost maybe, just maybe we can be free
