Hear ye, hear ye!

Wanna learn how to draw? Cool, let's get started. I'm going to start a training grounds program that anyone is allowed to participate in. Every week I will present a theme (usually a character, or an activity) and you, the participants, will draw it and present it back to me at the end of the week. An important thing to remember is that this is not a race, it is not a contest, it will not be judged. I will take it and try to give advice to help you improve each time you send in a piece. Nobody else will see your art.

At the beginning of each week I will post in this thread the theme. The theme, like mentioned before, will be either a character, or an activity. If a character is assigned, you may draw the character alone, the character with other characters of your choice, the character doing an activity of your choice; up to you! (just keep it clean. no gore, no clop, etc.) As long as it has the assigned character in it, I will be happy.
If I assign an activity, you must choose which characters you want to use in it. It should be fine no matter who you use, your own characters, your friends characters, canon characters; but they must be doing the activity I assigned. (I won't be assigning anything unclean)

I don't care how good or crappy you are at drawing, I will be the only one that sees it unless you show it to others yourself. I don't care if it looks like a 5 year old draw it and then took a picture on his phone with the shadow of your head in the middle of the drawing. I don't care if its perfectly scanned, colored, befitting of the Louvre itself. I don't care if its a vector or a simple sketch on notebook paper you doodled during math class. It just has to be all yours, and it has to comply with the theme.

At the end of each week send your picture to me via Skype, email (I'll PM it to you when we start), or post it here in spoilers. I would REALLY prefer you try and post it in spoilers for everyone else to see as well, but that ultimately is up to you. If you don't want to, don't worry about it. But it is a good idea to get use to exposing your work to others.

Awesome, looks like we got lots of ponies already. I know some of y'all might be eager to get started, so here's what I'm gonna do for those ponies who are dying to draw. This is an unofficial assignment, it is not required, you do not have to do it if you don't want to. When you're done PM a link to the drawing, send it to me on Skype, or post it here in spoilers. Here's this week's assignment. Also, don't forget to turn last week's optional one in if you haven't already.

Week 1 Assignment: Eating
Due Sunday, the 17th of February.

Draw anypony you want, eating anything they want. As long as they're eating something. A few tips for beginners; it is okay if you copy a bit from references, that's the fastest way to learn a style. But don't trace.
