Jack sips on his drink as the red stallion next to him talks to Jack. "Huh?" he says with a raised eyebrow and then chuckles "You're right. I really work on a farm." Jack wonders what revealed him and looks over his shoulder. He noticed a bit dust on his back from his work. He grins and cleans himself. "It seems I missed a spot." Jack takes another sip from his whiskey and turns to the red stallion. "Actually I could need some extra hooves. I have a leak in my roof that needs to be fixed." He stretches a hoof torwards the red stallion. "My name is Jack."

Zero made his way into the bar, looking around. He'd never been there, but he was told to go check it out. Maybe he'd run into something, or, rather, somepony interesting.

Taking a seat at the bar, he leaned up on the table and waved to the tender. Might as well get something to drink while he was there.
"Whaddya got?"

Blackwing ignored the Staring of the brown stallion and walked over to the new pony at one of the tables. "I got very much: Cider, beer, whiskey, Rum...." She listed. "The better question is what you want" she said to the new pony.

Prism took his hoof and spoke "Names Steel Prism, most just call me Prism" he said as he shake his hoof.

Once the hoof shake was over he spoke again "A leaky roof will be no problem at all" he said with a warm smiles, even with the scares it still come off as friendly.

*Sticks sizes up the newcomer as he walks in, and raises an eyebrow. Still, he otherwise ignores him, and turns back to the bartender.* I'm going to ask just one more time, *Sticks stands to his full height, a spectacular 5ft, doing his best to intimidate the bartender.* Can you tell me who I can talk to about joining the rebels, or do I need to Persuade you to?

Jack smiles back. It seems Prism is just another stallion stricken by the war, but he seems to have his heart on the right place. Jack was just going to speak to Prism as his attention gets attracted by the brown stallion. "Woah, calm down." he says to the brown stallion with a calm voice. "There is no need to persuade anypony. If I may ask you, why do you think there is such a thing like a rebellion here?" Jack knows that the rebllion needs more members to get stronger, but he can't just invite some random ponies from a bar to join them.

He was just making some head way with getting himself settled into this place when the brown stallion once again made himself know. He was just going to ignore him, but Jack who he was just talking to chose to speak to him. So he moved to get a better look at the stallion with his good eye.

He listen to what Jake said, unsure what would happen next but going on what he had seen so far and of his knowledge of ponies who joined the Equestrian Military just to 'hurt Griffons' they where normally very quick to violence and normally got themselves killed because of their rage as they were not thinking.

He eyed up the brown stallion but this time from a tactical view. He thought things over in his mind. *Earth pony, same build and high as myself, looks to be strong* he knew he didn't want to get into a fight and had to hope that Jack could calm him down. If things did get out of hoof he would join the fray having to rely on his magic till he got to see if this stallion has any hoof to hoof combat training and if he didn't that would be at least be something he could capitalized on.

"thats 7 bits" maya said simply to the new pony. Then she turned around to the brown stallion. "Do you threaten me?" she asked. She knows War veterans are crazy sometimes, but she knew how to help herself."You better calm down, like gray said, or I have to kick you out of my bar." maya had a bit anger in her voice. She didn´t wanted a bar fight, but in case she walked behind the counter and placed a hand on her crossbow, which the other ponies coulldn´t see.

*Sticks turns to look at Jack* I may not be native to this city, but I've worked for the mob long enough to know that Manehatten wouldn't let griffons take over without a fight. I also know how to listen, and I've heard enough to know that there's resistance somewhere. *He scowls* All I want to know is where.

Jack raises an eyebrow. "Worked for the mob? What do you mean with that?" He takes another sip from his drink. "And even if we have a rebellion, they would need to be very careful with getting members. The griffons have many spies, since there are rumors about a rebellion." He looks back to Stick. "So, give me a reason why I should talk more about these rumors."

Prism got a bit angry when he heard the stallion say 'wouldn't let Griffons take over without a fight' had he not hurt of the fight that happened over Manehatten they had made the Griffons pay for this city there had been at least 15-20 Griffons dead for every pony and they had even attack Manehatten later in the war to try and take it back. He did glare Sticks for that comment.

Prism was starting to think that his Pony had taken a few too many blows to the head over the years. At least Jack had the patience’s to try and explain to him why to doing go around a Griffon filled city shouting I am looking for the Rebels.

He wanted to say that but though better of it as all it would do is get the stallion madder and it looked like he didn't need any help with getting mad.

Zero slid seven bits across the counter, remaining silent, but listening in on the conversation not too far away. Resistance? This is exactly what he was looking for, exactly what he needed to know... Hopefully it'd reveal itself on their own. "Thanks..."

That was it he had to say something "If there was a spy here you wouldn't even get the chance to bust there skull they would kill you when you didn't see it coming or worse find yourself waking up being interrogation by Griffons." he said in a stern voice.

He let that sink in a second knowing most likely he was just going to brush it off but this pony's attitude to thinks is just going to get himself killed.

"so better not yell around 'I seach for the Rebellion' or you maybe will die very early." She took a sip from her drink. The new pony wasn´t really clever and if he wouldn´t stop being so dumb, he will maybe disapear very soon.

Jack just simply nods. He hasn't really something to add to their points, but he kinda lost his mistrust torwards the stallion. If he really is a spy, he must be a real stupid one. Good spies are more subtle, if they want to gain the trust of other ponies, but the rebellion also doesn't need ponies, who run around the city and scream "Join the rebellion" all the time. So he will just simply watch the situation.
And what about this red stallion,Prism? He's actually that kind of pony that could be a good spy. Gaining Jack's trust by helping him with his leaky roof. Jack sighs and empties his glass. "Another one, please." he says to the bartender. There's nothing he can do right now, beside observing.

He looked back to Jack, "I believe you said something about a leaky roof" he was going to need this work as he only had 20bits left and was going to need somewhere better than a burnt out building to stay spend his nights.

"So... you said something over a reliable source the last time you were here.... is their a chance i could some information about it?" She wanted to know if jack was bluffing, or if he really had some information about the rebellion.

Jack just nods at Prism's comment and turns to him. "Don't worry you have the job. You can stay at my farm and I'll give you some bits for it." Jack smiles friendly. "But it doesn't need to hurry and I'll invite you to a drink to seal our deal." He turns to Blackwing."Give this stallion everything he wants. This one is on me."
Before Jack can tell them about the rebellion he still need to check the stallion, who came in after him. He seems to be pretty young, maybe around the 20 years old and he's quiet. Perhaps he's just quiet, because he has nopony he can talk to. Jack turns to him. "What about you? Do you want to smash some griffon skulls?"

It looks like luck was on his side today "Well a farm house would be better then one of them burn out abandoned buildings" feeling better about leaving his items there then having to hiding them and risk somepony or Griffon finding it. He had had it for years and the last thing he wanted was to lose it like that, it was in a bad shape as it was.

He looked at his drink of Whisky and finished it off "Same again" He said to the barmare.

He had almost forgotten about the new comer into the bar. Prism would of been happy to of left him to his own business but it looks like Jack is one that likes to talk to everyone and it looks like they were going to go back to the talk of smashing skulls again.

This line of talk was not something that should really be talked about, as killing all it is is messy and he had killed that many Griffons’s that he no longer saw the point in boosting about it or even joking about it.

To be honest he wanted revenge on what the griffons had done, but he wasn't quite sure how far he'd actually go. He hated death, he hated killing, everything about it. So he said the first thing that came to his mind.

"Yeah. I'll do whatever it takes."

Something told him he would be regretting his choice of words sooner or later, but this is what he'd been looking for.

Jack nods with a grin. That is actually the answer he wanted to hear. "You know, just killing some griffons won't solve our problems. They will send new ones, who are even more brutal and terrorize us even more. So, if you really want to destroy them, you need to destroy their system first. Of course nopony can do that alone." he says and looks to Blackwing with a wink. "And that's where the rebellion comes in. We need to organize and focus our hate against the griffons to win and you don't even need to fight. We also need ponies, who can deliver us with resources like food and so on." Jack takes another sip from his drink and waits for the reactions of the others.

Maya gave Prism another drink. Then turned to Jack. "Of coure just killing wouldn´t help. But only thing i can offer is alcohol.... and i guess thats not very producttive." Maya looked around to see who is still at the bar.

"He's right; we are past the point where just fighting them will work. What's left of Equestrian Military can't stand up to the Griffon's head on anymore." He said not looking up from his glass.

“This is where you would hit them where it hurts make it so staying would cost more than just leaving, not an easy task and will no doubt take years, but if there is any place to start it would in Manehattan “ He finished talking and picked up his glass and drank some.
He thought it a bit too risky to come out and say who he really was but putting out an idea would give him too much trouble and clearly this was just coming from an older Pegasus and he was sure he could handle him if he needed to. The young stallion was clearly court out with the skull smashing comment so Prism was not worried about him and the barmare looked like she wanted to know more herself.

He would see what Jack said next and work out if he should tell him he was Military and still counted himself with in their ranks.

He wasn't quite sure if he could trust this lot yet, he'd better watch what he was saying unless he was willing to risk the little he had.

"Yeah, probably."

The very though of a full scale revolution in Manehatten made him surge with excitement, but he knew that was still a ways off. Casually, he picked up his glass and gave it a good swig.

Jack nods with a grin. It seems he found some good ponies, who can contribute something to the rebellion. He'll just handle the newbies like the rebellion handles all newbies. "Ehm...do you have maybe a paper and a pen?" he asks the barmare. "Because I'll need to write down your names, contact info and what you can contribute to the rebellion. That's our 'application form'. After I checked it with our leader, I'll lead you to the Undermarket."

I´m always here, my flat is above this bar" She said while writing her name on the paper. "I hope this is not a trap or something." she trusted jack, but in these days no one knows.....

"Application form?" He said rising an eyebrow to Jack "You can't be serious" If he was joking he was not laughing, this wasn't a game.

"If I make my 'application' it will be in person" He said bluntly with a cold stare

He then stepped in close to Jack so that his mouth was right next to Jack's ear. He whispered in as an intimidating voice so only Jack would hear "My reason is; because you are talking to Captain Steel Prism of our Goddesses 4th Guerrilla Warfare Unit” He made a point of using this full title not something he would normally do, but he want to make a point that he was not her to play games.

He then stepped back from Jack giving him the same cold stare he had given him before he stepped in closely.

Jack nods with a slight sigh. "I'll see what I can do, but I can't promise anything." Actually Jack won't bring him to the rebellion leader yet. The chance of an assassination would be to high. Maybe he can get more information about him while he works for Jack.
He stands up and walks to Zero, leaning a bit closer to him. "Don't worry. Nopony cares what you did in the past. The only thing that counts now is what you can contribute to the rebellion." he says and makes a short pause. "Anyway, what is your name, young fella."

Prism nodded in understanding once Jack had finished talking. He hopped this would get him past some of the red tape that he had guessed they would have in place.

He watch Jack walk over to the younger stallion but left him to what he was doing and looked back to his drink and the barmare. "If I was you I wouldn't write anything down, last thing you need is Griffons in here because they found your name in the hands of someone in the rebellion" He felt that he should give this warning, even if it’s not followed.

He stretched out a hoof, trying for a shake.
If he was going to get into the rebellion... this was his ticket in. Maybe.

Also i know how to care for my self, but thanks for your overprotection." Maya said. Then looked over to gray "So whe do i hear the next time of you then?" she asked to get as quick into the rebellion as possible.

Jack shakes his hoof with a friendly grin. "Formalities aren't necessary. My duty in the military ended a long time ago. So, recon specialist, huh?" He stops shaking his hoof and takes his drink. "I did reconnaissance during my military duty,too. Maybe we'll work together at some point." he says with a chuckle as he takes a short trip down the memory lane.
He shakes head as Blackwing talks to him and looks to her. "Ehm...well I'll try to talk to him tomorrow morning, so I guess I'll tell you tomorrow what happens next."

Prism drank the last of his Whiskey. He though she was being a little bit too cocky reminded him of himself before the war started. He smiled; it was good to see that there was still a lot of fight left in people.

He listen to what Jack said to the Barmare good he will be seeing him tomorrow he thought to himself things seem to be moving faster than he had expected. This all seemed to be too good to be true so it’s best to be on guard.

He weight up if he should still take up the offer at staying at his farm, it would mean not having to try and find a safe place to sleep and maybe go with Jack to the rebels but he could very well be walking into a trap unarmed well also unarmed he did still have ship magic. It took him a moment but through it best to take the risk this wouldn't be the worse mess he got into if it goes that way.

“Will you be sticking around here for much longer then Jack” He said, wanting to move on and find out if the offer of a place to sleep was still on the cards as things have moved on from him just being hired help on his farm.

Zero nodded, shaking his hoof firmly, he liked this buck.
He was old, likely experienced, hardened from his tour of duty. In the same line, too. Maybe Zero could learn a thing or two, maybe vice versa.
"Yes si-... Alright, Jack. I look forward to it."

He looked around at his newly acquired 'friends', or whatever one would call them. Acquaintances?
It seems as if he chose the right day to come to the bar.

A group of six griffons in uniform were assembled outside the bar. All of them were strong, in the prime of their life, and had weapons at their sides. A gray feathered, veteran sergeant led them.

"Alright lads, lets make this quick. Ask the owner and clientele if they've seen any "shady" sorts, collect the fee for owning a bar in Manehatten, and leave. Nice and easy. Understood?"

The five other griffons nodded in understanding. "Understood sergeant."

The sergeant approached the door, and gave a solid knock.

"This is the Manehatten Guard. Open the door, and let us enter."

Jack nods slowly and takes his seat next to Prism again."Well," he says, taking a quick sip from his drink."I don't want to stay here the whole day , but a little more time is okay, isn't it?" he says with a wink.
Jack looks to the door as the griffons knock on it and quickly looks back to the others with a "don't say a word" look. Then he stares at his glass, swinging it lightly.

He smiled back to Jack knowing he was the only contact he had and a good bed if he could still have it so he would stick around but would have to watch his bits. Just then there was a knock.

"Crap" He said quietly to himself, He was getting to much luck and it looked like the time had come to balance it out. He though a second about telling Jack what he was wearing but though it best to keep it to himself with the way he gave him a look that clearly said 'don't say a word' he clearly didn't trust him yet so best not to do the same for now.

His request was cut short by the sound of griffons outside.

Zero froze and eyed the door.
"...just what I needed...."
He swiveled his chair around towards the bar, pretending he was interested in something else.
The pegasus hated griffon soldiers. With a passion. But he couldn't show it, not here, not now. He could prove that some other time.

Maya was surprised about the knock, then heard the voices. Quickly she looked around and looked to the others around. "Any words of Rebells and they´ll kill us. So all play as usual." She whispered before walking to the door and opening it. "You wish?" She asked standing in the door to block the entrance.

The five guards behind the leader all looked calm, as if this was nothing to be worried about. One of them nonchalantly palmed the hilt of his plain iron sword, sheathed at his side.

"Your monthly 'Shopowners Tax' is due. As well, we're here to question your clientele on any Rebel-" the captain looked to the sign, just noticing it.

"You know, on second thought, the boys and I are a wee bit thirsty. Why don't you let us in to... sample your fine liquor, hmm?"

He gave a fake smile, a mottled scar beside his beak shifting from the motion.

Maya took out a small bag of bits out of her west "Sure, here thy are." She said while giving the bag to the griffon. "Well sorry to say, but i guess you saw the sign. this is a griffon free bar and shouldn´t change. I wont service your kind. But of course i can send my clients out, so you can ask them your questions." maya knew she was disgruntle the griffon, but she had her principles.

The sergeant of the group shook his head. "No, I'm sorry, that just won't do. Preventing officers of the Manehatten Guard from entering the establishment *is* a criminal offense. Of course, I'm willing to ignore the sign if you let us in."

A couple of the guards behind him started becoming more restless, their movements like they were preparing for the worst to happen.

maya was unwilled to let the griffons past. "Well, it seems we havea problem then." maya said. She saw the restless Griffons behind the Sergeant. It was dangerous, but hated griffons and didn´t wanted their dirty claws and paws in her bar. "So how about you get another bag with bits and you would just ignore this bar and walk away?" She asked, knowing it could have bad consequences.
