What about we have an inexperienced child of a duke who's been given the job because their father thought they needed to take on some responsibility. It could be that since they don't really have a clue about the sitch in Manehattan (or, in fact, Equestria as a whole since they could well have spent their whole life in the GK), they can be politely manipulated by the heads of the various griffon organisations. Making a change from the all-powerful gruff psychopath we had last time.

Yes, this seems like a good way to make sense of how every griffon's had free reign. Although, how young are we planning?Sten Softclaw wrote:What about we have an inexperienced child of a duke who's been given the job because their father thought they needed to take on some responsibility. Young enough to be naive and petulant, but old enough to get her way.
Probably something in the lines of Late teens early twenties. Any older and she'd be a grown woman practically.

I'd think a young male would be better for this path, but if we were going female, an old and tough military hen would be awesome to look into. Preferably one that listens to her subordinates.Tisis Antony wrote:Young enough to be naive and petulant, but old enough to get her way.

Heh.
You included race in there, implying that it doesn't have to be a griffon. Now, I know that you simply copy and pasted the usual character sheet, but it gave me an idea. How about a zebra? One that proved itself during the war and sided with the griffons. Such a creature could be very, very tough, even tougher than most griffons, to have worked its way up the ranks. It would be interesting, to say the least.
But yeah, you guys decide, I'm just interjecting for what its worth.
