Re: A Supply Run Gone Wrong
Kroll grunted angrily as the arrow sank into his shoulder armor, the arrowhead making a muffled plunk as it struck the metal plating that sat beneath it. The force of the arrow combined with Prism's strike at his crossbow threw the captain's right arm back, which presented an opportunity to Kroll to use the momentum from the attack to send a mean left hook into the stallion's face.

He knew doing this would get him in a bad spot but needed the crossbow out of the way. In his younger day a fight this close with a griffon would of been easy to ducked the attack and counted. Speed was no longer on his side.
The blow hit him in the face with some force be he rolled with the punch. He was sure it would soon come out with a black eye. His eye was watering a bit from the blow but he could still see, he had keep up the presser till the door was open. He jumped back to give him some space and used his telekinesis to grab as much of the bins and dumpsters as he could grab and sent them crashing at the Griffon hoping to squash him from both sides.
He had a quick look at how the others was doing and they wear not doing too much better but being earth ponies they was giving as good as he got.

Kroll sprinted forward to avoid the oncoming dumpsters before snapping his wings open and leaping into the air, making a tight arc so that he landed behind the debris Prism sent hurtling towards him, using it as cover as he pulled out his rifle, which was loaded with a red-tipped munition rod. Groaning in disgust, the captain began to have a sinking feeling that this skirmish would take forever at its current rate. That is, if it remained a one-on-one fight.
Pulling out his signal mirror, the griffon sent a quick message to the squad members that were positioned the rooftops of the surrounding buildings, alerting them that he needed some direct support. This message appeared to be received rather quickly, as four bolts were whistling towards Prism after a few moments.

Prism watch has he made the tight arc and landed behind the debris. 'Dam if they had more equipment that griffon would be sorted out by now' He through to himself. He was about to send the mass of debris back into the griffon he was a fool to use it to hide behind.
But he spotted something a flicker of light what was it, something light was reflecting off like a bit of polished metal or a mirror. His brain worked fast he had used such devices to tell his squad when to attack when the couldn't use words. His eyes darted up crossbows on the roof. He started his shield has they fired the shield went up catching 3 of the bolts one even making it part way through the shield and would of been a head shot if it connected. The fourth got through and hit is side it was only a grazing hit and if he had his armour on would of been fine. The bolt was now court in his coat. Letting the shield go and the other bolts hit the floor.
"That door needs to be open in the next 10 seconds or we are all dead" Prism pushed past the pain, he had felt worse and shouted at Jimmy who was hammering on the door. As he pulled out one of the small device he had got from Megabyte, this was the best time to use one. Striking it to light the fuse he knew he had 5 seconds before it would go off.

"WHY WONT THIS FUCKING DOOR OPEN!" Jimmy screamed, flailing at it with all his might. With one final heave the door came off its hinges, his hammer clattering onto the ground. "Oh well that's good-"
He grabbed the doctor by the nape and began dragging him into the room before giving what he assumed was a signal to retreat- "THE FUCKING DOOR IS OPEN DICKHEADS, HURRY UP!"

Re: A Supply Run Gone Wrong
The griffons on the rooftop quickly reloaded their crossbows and fired another volley at the cloaked stallion as soon as its shield dissipated. Meanwhile, the captain came from around the heap of dumpsters and debris with his rifle raised, this time loaded with a red-tipped munition rod. Instead of being loaded with a fin-stabilized bolt like the last rod had been, this round was packed tight with chunks of barbed and razor wire that had a fine layer of rust and chili powder coating them.
As he took aim at Prism and fired, Kroll felt the need to say something witty to his opponent as he pulled the trigger, but in the end, he felt that the cocktail of pain that was in the process of being discharged from the barrel of his gun was enough of a comeback already.

Prism was faced with a number of choices none of them were good. There was no way he could make it to the door with out getting shoot... a lot, his shield spell would do nothing to stop the gun being fired at him. Only one choice left and it was something he didn't want to do as it meant a smart griffon maybe could work out who he was and lest time it was used none saw him.
He dropped his bomb it would do its job there "RUN!" was all he had time to shout. Then he teleported himself avoiding all the attack, he had got good at doing it in an instant but only short jumps and where he was looking and he was looking at the griffon with the gun. He was going to be in harms way but they seam to be only attacking him. He was only unsure how the fight with the 2 earth ponies and griffon was going and he was sure that one was down on each side but hadn't looked.
The bomb went off showing that it was a smoke bomb and not an explosive, filling the area around the door with smoke giving the others cover to make there way out. Prism appeared next to Kroll as he was on top of the dumpers he reared up and went to stomp on Kroll one hoof aiming for his head the other at the gun he just fired.

Re: A Supply Run Gone Wrong
Kroll swore as the stallion vanished, wondering how it managed to dodge the combined attack of him and his squad, and to make matters worse, a cloud of thick smoke was beginning to form around the door the clay red stallion was using to drag away the diamond dog he was supposed to be capturing. But the captain was more worried about where the unicorn he was fighting went off to, and to his chagrin, his answer came in the form of a red hoof smacking his rifle downwards, and another smacking against the helmet that covered his head.
With an angry roar, the tercel grabbed ahold of Prism's forelegs and used the momentum of the stallion's attack to swing him onto the floor. Kroll screeched something unintelligible in Prism's face before picking his rifle up and slamming the butt of into the stallion's stomach. The captain yelled at the soldiers on the roof to take out the remaining pony and to retrieve their fallen squadmate as he retrieved his broken crossbow and vanished into the smoke, ejecting the wasted munition rod in his rifle and replacing it with a new one as he did so.
The one of the four soldiers on the roof fired a bolt at the remaining rebel while two others retrieved the dead guard and his wounded ally, carrying them back up to the rooftops to regroup.

His attacks, given the helmet a good dent, he was not sure if he damaged the gun or not but didn't have much time to look it over as he was flying through the air and landed hard on his back, he was soon back to his scenes when the griffon shouting in his face. He returned by spitting at the griffon's face.
The griffon turned to get something this was the moment to get out of the way before the griffon started to stab him with anything, as the rife butt come down he rolled out of the way. The griffon started to shout orders it was clear they was after someone not to just kill them them all or this griffon would of tried to finish him off. He saw him go into the smoke. Prism followed soon feeling a bolt fly through his tail. As he moved he pulled out the little pen knife that he had once again got from Megabyte this griffon made a big mistake turning his back on him.

Re: A Supply Run Gone Wrong
As Kroll made his way through the smoke, he could hear something following him. Judging by the number of steps that were taken in succession, the captain reasoned that the stallion from earlier had gotten back up and was pursuing him. Wonderful. The tercel turned around and began to walk backwards, raising his rifle as he made out a faint outline of something approaching him through the thick smoke. There you are.
Kroll hadn't paid a large amount of attention to the munition rod when he was reloading, but a quick glance at the sky-blue stripes on the ends informed him that it was loaded with coarsely-grounded glass and chili powder. It wasn't a lethal round, but it was made with the intent to be an effective deterrent to any attackers, a concept the captain was counting on. For the second time that day, Kroll wanted to say some kind of a witty remark before firing, but for the life of him, just couldn't come up with anything that would be apropos. The captain waited for the hoofsteps of his foe to get closer to before firing, sending a cone of glass and chili powder straight through the smoke cloud and at his attacker.

Re: A Supply Run Gone Wrong
The room into which Jimmy had dragged the good doctor was what appeared to be an employee lounge for the janitorial staff of the hospital. A pair of earth ponies in matching green coveralls looked up from their assorted bits and colorful chits. They were passing the time between shifts by playing some sort of gambling game that involved the use of flat chits and dice. The stallion looked uncertain, but the mare quickly got over her surprise, spotting the battle outside and turning to her partner to bet ten bits that the griffons would win.
The doctor groaned and rolled over, having been heaved into the corner by the door, the rough pony who saved him covered the exit with his big mallet, ready to bash any feathered head that poked its way inside. Joker shook his head slowly, trying to clear the cobwebs of exhaustion out of his head. He was a doctor for crying out loud. He grunted as he remembered the hole in his leg. He grabbed the first thing his claws touched, a dirty rag that smelled like it had been used to recently clear a drain. He tied it around the wound, stopping the bleeding with a tight knot before falling back, almost blacking out again at the pain.
He knew that they had to get moving. If the griffons had known to attack them here then he could only guess at how many were moving through the hospital towards him right now. He hoped against hope that the rebels he had foolishly led into this bloodbath had not died. Not today. He needed a win, something to prove to him that this fight was not worthless, that they might just win someday and get their freedom back. He had to...

Re: A Supply Run Gone Wrong
Prism made his way through the smoke he had to slow down as the smoke had got thicker so was harder to see but it didn't take long to find the door that Jimmy had broken down and Prism set off once more the smoke thinned and he made out shapes then. *BLAM*
The shot wasn't on target so it wasn't full on but the coarsely-grounded glass still cut its way through the brown coat he was wearing and into his flesh. The pain of the glass hit him first and he kept up the movement to the figure. Then moments later the chili powder hit him hard. He left out a cry of pain. He went to use a spell to make it go away but he couldn't get the concentration he needed to use it. His wounds felt like they were on fire, he hadn't felt pain like this since he lost his eye.
Tears streaming down his face he pushed on, he had to as going back was only more griffon's this way there was only one. He could still get past with out using magic and with the pain. It may have slowed him down and cloud his mind but he could still function.
Get past get past... that was all he had to do as he galloped at the griffon as fast as his body would let him. He through of trying to make an attack as he tied to pass he knew where the holes where in the neck, under the armpits around the wings he could get the small pen knife in, but his mind too clouded he knew he wouldn't hit the mark not now and teleporting past him was not happening.
Prism ran for the griffon's right side, it was the worse side to go for he knew this because it would be a lot easier for the griffon to attack him. At the last moment or at lest as long as he was willing to leave it. He then went for the griffon's left self bouncing off the left sides wall because of the how quick he changed directions. As he went past he made a try at giving the griffon a kick in the flank no idea if it would hit but it was worth doing as a cheap shot. He would head for the group his adrenaline fast running out he would need something else to keep himself going like this with the fire burning in his skin.

Re: A Supply Run Gone Wrong
Kroll smiled when he heard Prism cry out in pain, satisfied that his shot connected this time. Much to his chagrin, however, the stallion managed to blunder past the captain's left after faking to the right, and managed to deliver a kick in the rear. The tercel squawked in frustration as he staggered forward from the blow, almost dropping his rifle. Swearing in fustration, the captain stormed out of the smoke and signaled for his squad to come down to regroup briefly before giving chase again.
The scout that Kroll had sent ahead came back and informed the squad that the rebels had moved the doctor inside one of the buildings. Shaking his head, the captain reloaded his rifle before slinging it over his back and beginning to repair his crossbow, using a few spare components he kept with him. Despite its decent size, the amount of time it would take to reload the rifle between shots meant that it wouldn't be as useful as it had been a few moments ago.
Once his crossbow was repaired and loaded, Kroll sent the scout back up into the air and ordered the rest of his squad to break up into two-griff teams as they began to head towards the building, their weapons raised and ready to take on any oncoming attacks.

Jimmy didn't much like the thought of being cornered in a building like this. Shit was getting sour really quick, and if they didn't get an out soon, him and the rest of the guys here'd end up being hung for capital treason or some shit. The doc was all shot up, and in the commotion Jimmy couldn't quite make out if anyone else was getting away- he noted that Prism (Is his name Prism? Jimmy couldn't quite recall) was yelping like a kicked dog and reckoned that this would be the end of it.
But Prism evaded capture, he appeared to be heading this way. Jimmy began hollering to the pony, trying to direct him to the cover in the building. Jimmy glanced sidelong to the doctor, who appeared to be stirring and bandaging a wound. Janitors sat in a corner of the room, doing who knows what- Jimmy hoped they weren't going to be trouble.

Prism made his way into the build slowing more because his adrenaline was running out then knowing he was not being followed.
He made his way into some sort of staff lounge he saw the others there and made his way over to them with blood running down his legs. He stood there shacking a little as the pain started to build up. "We....got...to find a way out" He said through gritted teeth.

The two janitors looked at each other and huddled their heads close, bickering swiftly about whether of not helping them would influence their little wager. Shrugging, the mare sighed and pointed at the door "Th're's a map o' th' floor onna wall outside. Shoul' take ya all th' way out"

Jimmy ensured the door was at secured by a heave shelf he heaved into place before seeing about the map. Jimmy pulled it down, and threw it flat onto the table the two Janitors were sitting at. "Allright, point us a way out on this damn thing, preferably soon. I know you too are busy lads, but I'm a bit busier, and not in a arguin' mood." Jimmy flashed the two a venomous look, hoping he could coerce them into helping. If they didn't, well, Jimmy wasn't in a mood to be a gallant knight in white- he'd probably cave one's head in and see about getting the other to talk. Shit had to get done.

The mare scowled while the stallion chuckled into his foreleg. The map, like most any map in a modern building, had a thick red line leading from the janitor's break room to the nearest exit. The words 'IN CASE OF FIRE' are written across the top in bold black letters. The stallion gets over his fit of humor and turns to his mare friend, whispering "Guess that da featherbags were righ' 'bout dem rebels bein' dumb"

Prism was with the others he could relax for a moment and try to focus. He was breathing heavy with the pain that was burning under his skin. It was like he was on fire.
He couldn't think straight only pain, he had to get control of this he wasn't home and safe yet. He blocked out what was happing around him he had to focus. He slowed his breathing, he had to calm down. He wasn't going to make all the pain go away he just needed it to the point where he could focus. He had to take control again.

(Ok, guys, OOC moment here. I'm considering changing the whole 'arc' in its entirity, so may or may not delete this entire thread. If I do decide to keep it as is, or at least this part, since it has died, I will just wrap it up as we planned, with Joker being captured and everyone else licking their wounds and planning.)
