A Strike at the Gryphons: Atriark's Agenda
Atriark kept his eyes low as he trotted down one of the lesser streets that headed towards downtown. It was mid-day now and he tried to keep as low of a profile as a black and white equine could in a town full of brightly colored ponies. He was a zebra, and that drew looks whether he wanted them or not. Even though it was Manehattan, a hub city before the war, not many zebras called the place home. Added on top of all that, Atriark had a small warrant out for his arrest; which was why he took a lesser street to get to Downtown.
Without much trouble, the small zebra made it to where Main Street met Downtown. He looked around for any sign of Jimmy amongst the busy crowd of ponies.

(((Sorry for being away, had a sudden case of bad habits flaring up again)))
Jimmy approached Atriark with his head down. He'd come to realize that Atriark was trying to lay low, something that hadn't fully caught on with him prior. "Sorry about before. I'll be less apt to rush about now that I got that out of my system."
"You mentioned needing weapons, supplies. We're visiting Mega's workshop then. I take it you've met her before?"

"Don't worry about it," Atriark said, waving his hoof to dismiss it. "It's not something I want to discuss aloud." Atriark's eyes scanned the crowd of equines milling about for anything out of the ordinary. Staisfied there was nothing that posed an immediate thread, Atriark continued. "I haven't had the pleasure of meeting MissStream yet, though I have heard of her. Let's hurry there, being in the open in Downtown is making me uneasy."

Jimmy nodded, and lead Atriark forward through the crowded streets. "She picked a real funny place for her shop," he said, eyeing the skyscrapers above. The occasional griffon dismounted from one of their rooftop roosts, and leapt to unknown objectives in the distance. "Always makes me uneasy being so close to anything with so many feathers," he said, shuddering. "'Ow about you? I reckon you've had run-ins with the beaky-types. You got any compunctions with being with and about them?"

Re: A Strike at the Gryphons: Atriark's Agenda
Atriark followed Jimmy, nearly loosing him once in the crowd of ponies. "I prefer to stay away from gryphons. Too many bad experiences," Atriark commented. There were a lot of good experiences as well, but those were gone now. The Gryphons had given him every reason to hate them now. And as long as he was still breathing, he would do everything in his power to make it as costly for the gryphons to stay in Manehattan as he could. Which was what this mission was about. The gryphons had something, and he wanted it. "How far to her workshop?"

Re: A Strike at the Gryphons: Atriark's Agenda
He ignored the question for a moment, discretely walking to the side of the road to let a griffon foot patrol pass without obstruction. He kept silent, not even looking to Atriark as they walked by. He'd lived almost his entire mature life under the threat of the Griffons; and though the younger ponies in the city scarcely noticed it, the generation gap was obvious- the youths in the city, regardless of the allegiance or rank, tended to defer to the griffons. They'd never known a world where that wasn't the norm.
When the griffons fully passed, Jimmy made eye contact with Atriark again.
Jimmy turned onto a side street and waited for Atriark to follow. "It's right here," he said. Megabyte's shop wasn't too impressive from the outside, but again, how many shops were in this age. "So, you wanna go in first, or?..."

Re: A Strike at the Gryphons: Atriark's Agenda
Atriark shrunk away when he saw the gryphon patrol pass. His heart rate increased until they passed by, and he let out a sigh of relief. The last thing he wanted was to be sighted by a patrol in the crowded streets of Downtown. There were too many ponies and it would make fleeing harder.
The zebra runt looked at the building that Jimmy indicated, it wasn't something to look at, which he supposed was a good thing. "I'll go," Atriark said, he pushed the door open and entered the shop. First thing he saw was a familiar looking zebra, one that he owed a great deal to.

Re: A Strike at the Gryphons: Atriark's Agenda
The zebra in reference stood there a bit crestfallen with the expressions that were shown on his features. Adjusting his satchel that laid over his side, he rubbed his hoof into the floorboards nervously as he looked at his most prized possession laying in two splintered pieces before him. Xarith had just been going through his regular routines in the day much like any other day in his rather slow life. Yet, just like any other careless soul in the city, he still managed to get himself in trouble even without doing anything that would warrant such an accident.
"-So, what do you think you can do for it..?" Xarith asked as he looked to the mangled board. Its wheels were off of its bearings along with the fact that the board itself was basically in wood chippings. "I don't think just taping it back together would fix the problems seeing as the truss bars are also all bent up..." Then looking back over, he spoke up again. "I just need it in working order again so that I can get back to my work and hopefully make ends meet this month."

Jimmy followed Atriark into the shop, and too saw Xarith. "Whoaaaaaaaa, I'm getting confused in here. Which one of you is Atriark again?" he asked jokingly, gesturing with his hoof between the two of them. "See it's funny, 'cause the stripes."

Re: A Strike at the Gryphons: Atriark's Agenda
Hijinks trotted into one of the many filthy alleyways that litter the streets of Manehatten. The alleyway stank of refuse and any sunlight was blocked out by the eroding buildings that made up the alleyway. The local inhabitants, roaches and rats, scampered away at the sight of the purple filly. Spotting her objective, she moved towards a fairly large brown bag, hidden behind a worn out dumpster, and acquired the 'toy' that she has been saving for a day just like this.
Hijinks' hooves moved to brush the collecting dirt off the polished black frame of her second party time bomb. "Let see what this baby can do." She grinned mischievously as she pulled out a match from her satchel. Striking the match against the floor, the flame danced wildly as she moved it closer to the fuse. "What we need here." She said, lighting the fuse. "Is a little bit of panic!" she laughed manically as she started sprinting away from the large bomb, seconds away from creating a massive explosion of fire and chaos.
She sprinted out of the alley, looking left and right for some proper cover. Spotting a building right in front of her, she dashed in through the front door, ignoring the occupants. "TAKE COVER!" she screamed, covering her ears.
Calling it loud would be an understatement. The very building shook violently as the resonating explosion destroyed the once peaceful atmosphere of the downtown area. 'Here comes the panic' She thought, a grin plastered on her face.

"Well hi Xarith. How are you?" Atriark asked, surprised to see Xarith here.
He didn't get to hear Xarith's reply, as a purple filly flung the door open and took cover, shouting "TAKE COVER!"A loud explosion followered her, shaking Atriark to his bones and dropping him to his haunches.
With his ears ringing, Atriark stood up and said louder than he thought "Mimi?!"

Hijinks ears perked up at the new voice that accompanied the room which she has just jumped into. "YouYou!" she replied, shouting back at the voice.
'Wait a minute...' She thought, getting a closer look at the three current occupants of her temporary bomb shelter. One of the zebras in particular caught her attention.
Hijinks' eyes lit up with recognition. "Arky!" she yelled, launching herself at Atriark for a hug.

Re: A Strike at the Gryphons: Atriark's Agenda
Jimmy was covered in plaster and confusion, and now some creepy thing had scampered into the room and latched itself onto Atriark. Jimmy took some time to get his bearings, maybe a bit longer then a smarter pony would of needed. There were some screams from outside, but Jimmy was just trying to focus on what was going on in front of him.
He hefted the hammer from his satchel and levied it to the newcomer, trying to pry it from his Zebra companion. "GET OFF OF HIM WHATEVER YOU ARE!" he hollered, hopefully scaring it a bit.

With Xarith's resignation, this thread is no longer canon.
For all you Atriark fans, Arky has started up a new grand whatever-this-is thread which involves boat griffons and work horses. Me thinks you can sign up if you ask, but this crazy filly won't be there. I'm too busy with the riots and whatnot.
