On what passes for a busy road in the former residential district of Manehattan, there is a bar called the Three Legged Zebra. It is a dingy, cheap and quiet place for all kinds to drown their sorrows in barely palatable beer or seek some illicit fun in the upstairs bedrooms.
In the back of this bar, lit only by a single guttering candle (the source of the tallow theirin best left unmentioned) sits a miserable-looking grey Griffon in a white mask, nursing a mug of beer.
