Another Day At The Smith [Closed] (Dated)
Oct 30, Year 4
Steel Strike was glad to see his shop intact. He half expected the shop to have a griffon symbol painted on it by now. He opened the front door, and was a bit disheartened to see the two holes in his wall. It seems like years ago, but it was only a few days. He had a temporary roof and covering for the wall, but he'd need a carpenter before he can put anything permanent up. He had saved enough bits up for something, but he never thought it'd be repairing his shop. He took a look around behind the counter. There the Celestia statue stood among other figurines. It was his most majestic carving yet. He went past the door to the back of his shop containing his smithing items. Everything seemed in place, and he silently thanked Celestia. He turned to his furnace and began dumping coal into it, hoping that some ancient ember would re-kindle the flame. He was correct and after a while his furnace was blazing hot. He went out front to see if any customers dotted his area. He didn't see many outside, and he had wishful thinking the red maned pony was right. Another slow day he sighed, sort of relishing the time off from the rebels and the mysterious griffon.

Hurriedly, Suture entered the ramshackle smithery, which desperately needed repairs. Telekenetically closing the door behind herself in a cloud of red magic via handle, she stopped as she looked around the place. Yes, this was the one, the one pony smith in ALL of Manehatten.
Silently making her way to the counter, she quickly began going through her saddlebags- that damn zebra had re-arranged them without her permission first. Pulling out a sheathed weapon, her face immediately jolted to panic. She then promptly hid it deep in her bags, pulling out what she had intended to remove beforehand- a scalpel, albeit a dull one, the entire reason she was here.
Clearing her throat was her attempt at sufficient summoning force, hopefully summoning the smith over the din of the forge and stuff.

The smith saw the red maned mare enter the building at a fast pace. She seemed hurried in her movements. She quickly revealed a sheathed weapon then panicked and put it back. I didn't see a thing thought Steel as she put it back into her bag. She pulled out a scalpel next, and coughed so that he could hear her over the din of the forge. (Which admittedly wasn't necessary.) "Ah Hello Ma'am. What can I do for you today?" Steel asked in a polite tone. He wanted this rebel out soon, so as to not cause as much trouble as the last one.

Winter was on a very unusual quest today and not one that was even really all that interesting. All she knew is she needed a blacksmith and had been refereed to this place by asking directions around town. As she approached the building her horn took on a purple glow, the magic grabbing hold of the door handle as she opened it. Stepping inside, her amethyst eyes swept the interior of the place as the door closed and as it closed she was greeted with a warm wave of heat across her face which made her wince. She saw what would be the Blacksmith and a mare with a red mane talking. Preferring to be polite she simply waited off to the side, taking a seat as she waited her turn to speak with the blacksmith.

Inhaling deeply but quickly and exhaling in the same manner, Suture managed to regain some of her composure. She had to get back at that zebra in some way...
Anyhow, she placed the medical instrument on the counter, sliding it over to Steel. "I need this sharpened. Nothing more," she said in a cool, even tone. It was then she glanced behind herself to the newest arrival.... Ugh.. She looked preppy. Probably some high-society pony before the war. It annoyed Suture to her very marrow.... Maybe she could hold an interesting conversation, though.

"Alright, that'll be a couple bits." Steel said, gruffly. He went behind his shop, and pulled a cloth off of his grindstone. He began pumping the wheel, and when it was up to a high enough speed he placed the blade on it. Sparks flew everywhere, but he was extremely delicate as the blade was small and fragile. He was working at much slower speeds then he would be for anything else. After a few minutes after he was satisfied with it's sharpness he went out front again. "This should work just fine." he said, expressionless.

She nodded. Rummaging through her bags via telekinesis once more, she pulls out the sheathed weapon once again. Her face flaring red in embarrassment, she quickly stows it once again, finally finding and pulling out an unhealthily underweight coin pouch, undoing the drawstring and levitating out five bits... followed by her viciously shaking the pouch to yield more. Alas, nothing happened. A disappointed sigh later, she had stowed the pouch in one of her saddlebags. A weary, "That enough," escaped her lips.

The poor red maned unicorn seemed stress. She seemed easily irritated as well. When he saw the sheathed weapon again, he thought for a moment she might mug him. But a few moments revealed a small pouch. She levitated five bits towards him. He saw her money pouch was extremely light, and not as jingly as ones pouch should be. When she turned her back,he levitated 3 bits back into her bag without her knowledge. It really was a 2 bit job. And a couple does mean two. he thought with a smile as he turned to his next customer.

Levitating the scalpel off of the counter, she quickly tested it by running the business edge along an area of her foreleg. Feeling and seeing the expected results of a rather small laceration along said leg, she placed the object in her saddlebags. What she didn't notice, however, was the placement of a few bits back into her saddlebag. Having nowhere else to go for the day, however, she rather exited the smithery and sat outside.

Re: Another Day At The Smith [Closed] (Dated)
Winter had checked through her own saddlebag which hung over to her left. She had an arrangement of papers filed and cataloged within a file which she still needed to go through. Beside that was a bag of bits along with some materials one would normally find on a unicorn who would be a doctor. She looked up as the red maned mare left the building, allowing her to engage the blacksmith with her request. She smiled sweetly as she trotted forward, stopping short in front of him as she began to speak. "Hello, I'm looking for a unique custom piece. Asking around town I was referred here to you" she said softly and politely as she pulled open her saddlebag, withdrawing a paper from within.
On the paper was a half decently drawn mane pin. The pin itself was your usual run of the mil brass plated metal, as the annotations she left indicated. But the real beauty of the piece was what was on the end. It was a mix of metal and glass which fused to make an amethyst flower. The petals were delicately drawn with further annotation on the color and size of the piece. Winter levitated the piece of paper to the buck, studying his reaction as he looked at it. Hopefully he would be able to make it for her, although she had no doubt the skill needed and materials would be costly.

Steel looked at the designs the new mare had pulled out. It seemed to be very delicate, yet not impossible. He began to question whether he could stretch the metal that thin or if it would be to brittle to make a decent pin. The glass was also going to be complicated, as he had the sand, but not the necessary dyes. It required amethyst coloring, which he hadn't come by in quite some time. He also needed different tools than he had already, requiring him to smith them. (Although admittedly, he wouldn't charge her for tools he hadn't made.) He knew it would be a beautiful piece, and would certainly prompt responses by several mares. He didn't know if becoming a maker of jewelry would be his forte. The design required several days of work, and trips to the market and various stalls to get the right materials. This would all be very costly. He nodded to assure he could create the specimen, but warned "It'll cost a fair amount. But it can be done, in several days time." he said assuredly.

Winter smiled as the buck relayed the possibility, which in truth had been her main concern. "I expected so, such a piece would take hours of work and time. However my informants have instilled me with confidence in your skills. I believe your the perfect pony for the job" she said softly with a smile, her words sophisticated and refined. Her horn took on the purple glow once more and a bag of bits emerged from her saddlebag, "I believe this should cover it, one hundred bits?" she asked as the bag hovered over to him. It was certainly an expensive piece but it would be worth every bit. Maybe one day she could pass it down generations and turn it onto a family air loom. She took value of such things. But right now she wanted it for a very specific reason. She caught her thoughts as she realized something, "Oh, forgive me. I never asked your name Mr?" she offered, keeping her smile towards him as she spoke.

He had no idea who these contacts were, but they seemed to have complete confidence in his ability. And this worried him, as the only ones who completely trusted him were Rebels, and he didn't even believe in them. However this mare didn't seem like the kind who would be rebellious. And the fact she had 100 bits to spend on such an item was insane in of itself. He almost was going to stop the deal when the bits were placed down, for fear of it being a trick of some sort. However, he looked into the bag, he saw the amount in full. He nodded and said "Uh...Steel Strike. May I inquire as to your name?" he asked. He was still a bit shocked the amount that had been paid for the item. However it was around the ballpark figure of such an item.

Winter tipped her head curtly as he revealed his name. When he asked hers she gave a small smile before speaking, "My name is Winter Bell, pleasure to meet you Mr Strike" she said politely. She took note of his expression at the amount paid and couldn't help but cock her head to the side in slight curiosity, "Is something wrong?" she asked, somehow adding a concerned inflection, yet keeping her tone even and gentle.

"Uh, no of course not. Just a bit surprised at the amount. Not many mares can go around flaunting a 100 bits for a decorative pin." he said, still a bit nervous. She was doing one thing only other mare had dared to do, and that was a for a bunch of tools. So naturally the sack of bits surprised him.

Re: Another Day At The Smith [Closed] (Dated)
On the inside of shop, a distinct buzzing sound was heard. The sound was low, and distant, like a many-winged beast from afar had decided to fly over. Maybe this sound was just some mechanical contraption- perhaps a rudimentary engine? The sound grew closer, and as it did it became more distinct. It wasn't a buzz- it was many wings flapping all at once.
Praetor August touched down atop the building across from the smithy. Him, and twelve other brutish griffins. The Praetor peered down at the smithy, making out any available details before proceeding. A pony unicorn was below, colored the same as a clay stream bed streaked with rust. The door was closed, and there was no visible exits beyond the windows.
The Praetor made a gesture, and four of the griffins took off to move around the building. Flying just overhead, the four of them took to inspecting the building from all angles. Finally, with his preparations done, the Praetor began to act.
"IF THERE ARE ANY REBELS IN THERE, COME OUT NOW AND WE SHALL BE LENIENT," he yelled to the smithy below in a booming voice.

Winter smiled to the buck, a tad bit amused as she spoke, "I can assure you it is honest currency" she said as she looked to the piece of paper for a few moments before her eyes looked back to his. "Well I shan't keep you any longer, thank you Mr Strike and I'll look forward to seeing you soon" she said with a gentle bow of her head. With that she turned and trotted to the door before stopping as she heard the booming sound of a Gryphon. She stopped and rounded on the Blacksmith, "Y-you're not... are you?" she asked with concern, a little frightened that they might think she was associating with rebels.

"Ma'am. I've been trying to convince these griffons I'm not a rebel, for the past few days. I am no rebel, nor will I ever be." he said with a hint of annoyance. These damned griffons were bad or business. Now half the neighborhood was going to suspect him of rebel activity. "I'd stay here if I were you sugarcube. Were both not rebels, so no reason to leave." he said shrugging. He was hoping the griffons would come, inspect, then leave him the hay alone.

Winter nodded "R-right, you're right" she said as she moved back over towards Steel, looking more then uneasy at the situation. She shifted on her hooves nervously. If they came in after them, she didn't know what she would do. She couldn't really fight... well, she could stun then and hit them with an Anesthetic, but above that she wasn't much use. Not that she'd fight anyway, that was just asking to be made a slave... or imprisoned.

Suture was outside of the smithy, reading from a rather thick tome she kept around in her saddlebags... when a buzzing encountered her ear. Probably a swarm of bees.
But then, as the sound became more like that of many wings flapping at once, large ones, too, she almost lost control of her bladder. Her eyes wide with fear as griffons landed all around the building, she tried to look inconspicuous and passive as their supposed leader spoke, trying to distill her panic. Alas, it was no use, as the amount of armed griffons around her simply terrified her. There was probably no way to just run, so she stayed there, sitting.

Praetor August leapt down from building from the roof above, his cloak billowing behind him like a total badass. He touched down lightly on his two cat paws, and walked to enter the smithy. He paused just outside the door, and turned to face the mare. "Good evening ma'am," he courtsied, before turning back to the door.
He pulled it slightly ajar to enter, before walking in his entirety. He took a brief moment to inspect the room, glancing over the equipment and the inhabitants. "I'm sorry to disturb you on this fine day. Are you busy?"
The Praetor stood, awaiting a response with his talons crossed behind his back.

"Not busy at all. Was just about to set about getting the things needed for her request. Is there something I can do for you Praetor?" asked Steel, calmly. He wanted the comply completely, so as to make the whole process go by much faster. The sooner these griffons went the better.

Winter shifted nervously as the Gryphon walked in, seeming calm, way to calm. She looked away for anything, anything that could calm her nerves... until of course, she saw he was waring a cape. Winter gave the Gryphon a flat look as a completely different part of her mind shadowed the other, making her forget what was happening and who she was speaking to. "Really, a cape?... you're wearing a cape..." she said taking a pause before adding, "You have to be, the lamest Griffon in all Equestria" she said with a flat disapproving tone.

Suture was tense. Using her telekinesis, she began to re-arrange her saddlebags, bringing the weapon to the top of the pile in case things went south. However, she really didn't want to be forced into using it- getting in trouble with authorities was the last thing she wanted to do. She almost jolted into a fighting stance when the griffon who seemed to be leading them addressed her in specific. Though through it all, he seemed really, really stupid, because he forgot to close the door. She could hear -everything- going on inside.
Heh, she IS a preppy unicorn. Insulting that awesome cape.

(((YES. SOMEONE KNOWS ABOUT CAPES. THANK YOU SUTURE. I mean, how many things can only be identified by the adjective "badass"?)))
As he heard the insult to his fashion sense, the Praetor's eye twitched a little- why the NERVE! If only he had the opportunity to lecture this MARE on her shoddily assembled apparel, he would take the entire day to do so. August just KNEW that he shouldn't have gone with the cape today. He should have used the simple vest-slash-bowtie combo. Now his day was ruined.
"Ugh- you, you don't know anything about cloaks. If I wore something as ostentatious as what you wear, I fear that I wouldn't survive a day!"
The Praetor realized he had fouled. He had lost his air of mystery and mystique by resorting to such a petty jab. But instead of tearing the mare to pieces like his mental imagery suggested, he tried to recoup himself.
He returned his attention to the smith, straightening out the fluff in his feathers with his talons. "I am afraid that asking was merely a formality. Your name has come up far too many times in the last several days, Mr. Steel. I am here to question you on events leading up to several... mishaps, and to inspect this smithy for weapons. Do you understand my meaning?"

Oh the smith understood his meaning. He was being accused of being a rebel. Why of all the... he thought but quickly calmed himself. Before he uttered a harsh response, he pondered for a moment. He HAD assaulted a griffon, however, this griffon never learned his name, the side that was usually out anyways. He had been found with a rebel, however both he and her were fine as far as he knew. The other pony, Rationale, was a rebel, but he hadn't seen him since the incident at Mega's. He realized if there was a more obvious rebel, he didn't know them. "You may search my Smith. I have not created a weapon since the end of the war. As for your questions I shall answer them to the best of my ability." he said calmly. He just wanted them to get out. And the sooner he cooperated the sooner they'd get out.

Winter laughed at the Gryphon, something she had NEVER done before. "This" she said motioning to her apparel, "Is an armored battle dress made and designed by ponies of Canterlot and commissioned by Photo Finish herself during the start of the war and you would know fashion... you... in the cape" she said with amusement as she waved a hoof, "Please, if I didn't know any better you're probably wearing it to play super hero, what's next? painting racing stripes on it to make you fly faster" she said with with a sarcastic tone.

The griffin flipped off the impudent mare. Nodding to show that he had acknowledged Steel's agreement, he turned to the entrance of the shop. The Praetor exited the doorway, gesturing to the griffins on the roof to come down.
The Praetor returned with a group of griffin roughnecks who proceeded to tear through the shop. They sought obvious things; weapons, contraband, rebel propaganda- but they looked in clever places. They knew to pry off paneling, to open floorboards. Once the Praetor was sure that the search was underway, he gestured for the smith to follow him upstairs. "We would be much better served to question you in the silence upstairs."
He turned to put one final word to the mare. "Don't try to scurry off anywhere until I've had a word with you."

Steel Strike reluctantly let the griffon lead upstairs. He found his way into the main area upstairs which served as a kitchen and dining room table. The griffon was obviously too small for the kitchen, but he could fit. The gaping hole in the sealing could be easily explained as the roof caving in on itself. The place looked runned down with all the damage Zwei had done.

The griffin turned to close the door behind him, but found that there was no longer a door there. He chuckled a bit at this discovery, before turning back to the smith.
"I need to know, in no uncertain shape or form, the occurrences here during the night that two mares and a griffin visited this place. I don't want opinions, because I will be the one to form opinions for you. I don't want rumors or hearsay. I want your own lawful testimony of what transpired that night. And I don't want any lies. If you lie to me, it will be the thing you will come to regret for the remainder of your time on this planet."
"So, begin with what happened first."

"Well where to begin..." he said, tapping a hoof to his forehead. "That one griffon...Zweihander I think he was called. He apprehended Megabyte Stream, a local resident around these parts. I had no clue what she was being apprehended for. All I know was that curfew was approaching, and that they needed to stay in my place, for the night. The griffon said in no uncertain terms, that he was to stay in my shop downstairs. Megabyte was to reside in my guest room." he motioned down the hall. "And I went to bed, in my bedroom." he pointed past the hall they just went through. "I awoke to the banging of horseshoes. I went downstairs to see what the commotion was downstairs. It appeared an innocent mare was trying to stay for the night, to avoid being caught in the curfew. However, the griffon seemed to have other plans for her..." he said, pausing for a moment.
"I'm sorry, but I did panic. The look in the griffons eyes was ravenous. I attempted to subdue him, by pinning his claws to the wall. Something changed though...He started going crazy. The innocent mare turned out to be a thief, who proceeded to steal his sword. I told Megabyte she should run away, to escape the mad griffon. However, she decided to stay for whatever reasons. She told me she had a place in the East Residential District, where I could go to be safe. Somehow she managed to send the griffon away, writhing in pain. He seemed completely crazy by then. She explained later it was some sort of device that affected griffons only, but didn't elaborate. Once she had managed to catch up with me, she took me by surprise, and knocked me out. I awoke in a place under an old home. She told me that she had to keep the house's location a secret." he said, winded. He then explained the events that occurred, mentioning how he realized the connection was with Zweis sword, and the other two ponies, and how one had found the sword on the street. However, he stated he never learned their names. He stated how the brute had killed 3 griffons and shot their skulls through the door. He also avoided mentioning Zweis return to his pre-shattered self. He said that he simply flew off dazed and confused, seemingly disoriented. He mentioned that he wouldn't be surprised if he didn't remember anything about his other personality. Then he explained how Mega had knocked him unconscious and delivered him to his shop, with a thank you note. "He's also the one who made the hole in my roof and the holes in my walls downstairs." he said glumly. "Anyways, that's everything. Nothing special about today, except griffons ransacking my downstairs looking for illicit goods which I don't have. I may have helped the rebel Megabyte, but there was hardly a choice when there is an insane griffon on you. However, in his defense, he was quite literally, not himself at the time." said Steel Strike with an air of finality.

Re: Another Day At The Smith [Closed] (Dated)
The Praetor was incredibly set back- this smith was totally forthcoming! Too jaded by a decade of interrogation and torture to believe his good fortune, August almost forgot to actually pay attention to the story. Finally he realized that the colt wasn't going to slow down and breath, or even separate his speech into paragraphs! The raven griffin scrambled to find a notepad, and jot down as many notes as possible. He took in every detail and sentence, trying his damnedest to keep up with the torrent of pertinent information.
When the colt gestured to the other rooms, and imitated the carnage that had transpired, the Griffin came to wonder if it was entirely possible that this smith was telling him the entire, unadulterated truth. He had even honestly portrayed the events that August's auxiliaries had spied from that night.
When the colt was finished, the Praetor couldn't react in a meaningful way. The only sounds were the crashes from bellow and the heavy breathing of the two in the room. What a rush- never before had the Praetor ever, in his entire life felt something like this. This colt was so completely forthcoming with everything, and it left him woozy, like all of the blood had left his body.
"Give me a moment, to collect myself..."

The griffon seemed shocked that he was telling the truth. He had nothing to hide, and he did nothing to harm the rebellion. As far as anyone knew, he was just a victim or circumstance. Hell, he WAS a victim of circumstance. Everything pointed to him being a rebel, but as the search would reveal downstairs, and his testimony, he was no such thing. Hell maybe having my named cleared will be good for business! he thought, still worried about the Praetor. He seemed like he was about to buckle. "Need me to fetch some griffon or something?" he asked, slightly nervous.

"No, no, I don't need anyone," August said, regaining his composure.
A griffin brute came upstairs, and tapped the Praetor on the shoulder, indicating that the search below was finished. August stretched, and struggled to walk, as if his legs were wobbly. The Praetor removed a cigarette from his cloak, and struck a match on the counter. He took a slow drag from the cigarette, before turning around to leave.
"I think you've told me all that I needed to know. I left the OGI's address on that note there, in case you had more you needed to say." The Praetor took another drag before continuing. "I will come back later in the evening if I have any more questions."
The Praetor walked down the stairs. The griffin ruffians had torn apart the shop, but had found no weapons. He turned to Winter. "Can I see you outside please?"

Winter waited as the griffin and the Blacksmith spoke. She didn't mind but the more she stood around the more she realized how much trouble she might be in. She jumped a little as he spoke, asking her to join him outside. She nodded and followed him as he asked, trotting out in front of him without word.

Suture had stowed her tome already- no sense in still having it out if she weren't reading it. Her left saddlebag's strap had been undone, but it was not open. Her head pivoted along with the pony and griffon exiting the building. She was probably about to witness some form of physical punishment. That'll be fun to watch...

"I am going to need your name, and address," said the Praetor, addressing Winter. When you leave, a griffin will follow you home in order to ensure that you have given us a valid location. That is all."
The praetor peered to the mare named Suture. "Why are you still out here?"

Suture cleared her throat. Damn it, the griffin was addressing her! Hoping to avoid any contact with a ranking military officer- wait, just the military in general! She doesn't want contact with them at all!
She kept quiet, her head low, still attempting to appear as if there were nothing conspicuous about her. No-siree! No weapons here.

Winter didn't like this, she didn't like this at all. She knew all too well why he wanted her address and she was having none of it. "My name, is Winter. And as for my address, there isn't one" she said coolly, keeping her eyes on the gryphon that dwarfed her in size.

(((OOC: For the canon, I wish it to be known that a griffin operative will now tail Winter from the shop.)))

Suture tensed. She began to stand, unfurling her form. There was no way in hell a pony was just named "Winter". Either some punishment was to be doled out, or there would be a fight. Hopefully it wouldn't come to a fight- because that would occur if someone decided to attack Suture...
This was a very bad situation for her.

Winter didn't break eye contact as she replied, her voice the same even tone as before, "Bell" she said, taking a pause, "Winter Bell" she finished. "May I leave now?" she asked.

The griffin was done with her, but he would have an agent tail her. The agent would follow her, find her residence, and report back in a day or two. There was no feasible way that a mare as well off as this 'Winter Bell' was homeless. "You may return to your business."
The Praetor turned to the red mare, noticing her palpable tension. She had stood up, and had a hostile posture. She was obviously some sort of trouble- why would she be loitering out here in front of a torn out smithy? "And what is your name, ma'am?"

However tense and afraid she was, Suture had no choice but to answer. "It's Suture," she said with whatever confidence she could muster. Several griffins were around her at this time.. She could neither run nor hide; if this ended in confrontation, Suture would most likely end up tortured then executed.

"Suture, huh."
The Praetor knew this one was trouble, but judging by her stammering he reckoned that she wasn't a threat either. "Well Ms. Suture, what is it that you do, exactly?"

"I work in a textile mill, a-" she said, stopping herself suddenly as if to hold information back. Admittedly, the Praetor had amazing intimidation tactics, simply being calm set unease in Suture's mind.

The Praetor tried to think of any textile mills in this area of town, but couldn't think of any. That didn't necessarily mean that Suture was lying- but any facts that could corroborate with her statements would have helped. The mare seemed incredibly off, as if she were hiding things. Of course she's hiding things, he thought.
"I'm sorry ma'am, but can I search your bag? We're looking for rebels, see- and I think that a rebel may have been operating nearby. It'll only take a glance, just a formality."

Great, I'm doomed was the only thought going through her head. She nodded, telekenitacly performing a faux unlatching. of the strapWhat she was really doing, however, was moving her sheathed weapon into an area that would be rather difficult to notice if one didn't look hard enough.. She turned to the side, a gesture telling him to go ahead with his search.

Steel Strike appeared next to the Praetor. "That wont be necessary Praetor. She used to work in a textile mill. She now works out at a clinic. In fact I just sharpened a scalpel for Ms Suture here. I wouldn't be surprised if she had any sharp objects in there. One should never cut a patient with a dull scapel. It never slices through cleanly. Ive seen plenty of battle medics perfom incisions with a sharp combat knife." he said remembering seeing it several times on the battle field. "Ive met Miss Suture here a few times before, but she rarely comes in." He moved into closer so only the Praetor could hear him. "Times have been tough on her. Not much cash at all. Ive had to turn her down due to a lack of profits." Steel pulled the sheathed weapon from her pack and sighed. "Times are tough Praetor." he said handing the sheathed weapon to the Praetor. "Naturally when the only sharp item you can use as a scalpel is a weapon, you'd hide it as well." he said confidently, and trotted back to his shop to clean up his mess.

The weapon that he was handed was little more than a shiv- not the kind of weapons that he was looking for. The Praetor groaned in disgust, tossing the weapon back to Suture, before taking off without another word.
If she was a rebel, then he was a hippogriff. The dagger had been clearly for self defense- no rebel would be able to harm anyone with such a meager 'arsenal'. To think that his time had been wasted trying to grill her over a measly shiv. The thought made him loathe this work, and the ridiculous ponies who made it so difficult.
He began the flight to return to his other errands. His retinue took off as well, though they did not follow him.
A single griffin stayed on the rooftop, watching the one named Winter Bell, to see where she was going to head.
