Boxing like Clockwork (OPEN) (Dated)
Nov 3, Year 4
In the seedier sections of the Undermarket, the based pleasures were fulfilled all hours. Companionship, escapism, and gambling were all common-place here. The strong would come here to earn a living like they always have; through might. Ex-soldiers, murderers, thugs, even honest ponies came to earn some "easy" bits.
One such establishment was the Wee Filly, one of the bigger pit-fighting clubs in Manehatten. Accepting both amateurs and professionals; if you could fight, you did almost every time.
Klockwerk, a pale-green stallion, was warming up before his fight. Giving a punching bag a few jabs, he psyched himself up. He needed the cash for some food; Gear Grind and him were down to a day's worth, and, like every month since year 0, there were not enough sales.
Huffing in frustration, Klockwerk gave the bag a powerful buck, swinging the thing wildly on its chain attached to the ceiling. He wondered how many ponies were here to see the fight today. Adjusting his shirt, he cracked his neck. Didn't matter, so long as he got some cash at the end.

In the room opposite Klockwerk, stood his opponent, Shoe Toss. He was an amateur himself, in the ring. He had been in a street fight with one of the fighters one night before a match, and some of the sponsers of the entire ring saw it. They informed him of the matches and said he could earn good money this way. A few fights later he had crawled up the rankings ever so slightly. His momentum seemed unstoppable, but tonight he'd face his toughest opponent yet. Klockwerk was one of the regulars, who could give most of the Pro's a run for their money. He'd been stuck in the amateur ring, due to a few loses to a few prominent fighters. Now would be Shoe Toss' time to shine. If he beat Klockwerk, he might be on his way to the top. He'd finally be something, instead of being the street rat he was born as. It might be his time to shine.

It had been difficult, but Suture managed to find her way to the Undermarket from Megabyte's Basement, avoiding most unshaded areas on her way. She had memorized the way back in, and how exactly to do so- the amount of spare time she had was incredible now. Still, she was bored. Thus, Undermarket.
After a few minutes trotting throughout the area, she found what looked to be a fighting ring. To her utmost joy, a fight meant injury, and injury was business. Gleefully, she nearly bounced forward, getting as close as she could get to the ring's edge. She'd stand there, watching.

Double moved through the shader aspects of Undermarket. He didn't like having Static in these parts. Things happened in this part of the sewers. At one point they would be illegal, but now? There were no real restrictions. Especially in this place. Listening to the chatter of a forming group, Double Edge decided to follow and see what was causing the commotion. Coming to a rickety looking arena, a large mesh sphere encapsulating it. All around ponies were yelling, placing their bets on which fighter would win. Double had no real money to spare right now, so instead he simply stood and watched for the ponies to come out fighting.

Xarith had been skating around the Undermarket for some time now. He had been looking for something, anything that would peak his interest. He had brought his satchel along just encase he found anypony in need, but as the case with the people down in the Undermarket, they were already selling or had no money to spare.
Leaning a bit, the zebra flew around a corner and down yet another tunnel in under the streets. Looking out into the distance Xarith saw something going on further down the tunnels. Pushing himself forward, he closed the gap between him and the commotion. He powerslid to a stop in front of a large metal dome hopping off just in time to see the other ponies gather 'round for a good show.
Xarith just propped up himself on his dirtboard and leaned over ready to watch this match of the day. Might as well get to know the competitors.

"Klockwerk, yer up." The grizzled stallion in charge of the fights entered the waiting room. Nodding once, Klockwerk got to all fours, and trotted briskly to the opening of the gate. There, he would wait for the announcer to call him, and his opponent. Reaching the entrance, he performed a breathing exercise to remain calm.
"Well, Klockwerk, time to earn your gears." he muttered to himself.
~~~~~
"FILLIES AND GENTLECOLTS! Tonight, we have for the opening fight, two great fighters for your viewing pleasure! On the East side of the ring, we have the challenger, the new up-and-coming amateur Shoe Toss! He's gained spectacular momentum, utterly breaking his opponents in body. But, can he beat the pony on the West side? The Manehatten born-and-raised Klockwerk, our resident hoof-boxer?! Find out every pony, zebra, dog, buffalo, mule; BUT NO GRIFFONS ALLOWED! Puuuuuuh-LACE your bets folks!"
Double's ears perked up as he heard the introductions of the upcoming fighters. Seemed like the show was about to start. Though Klockwerk, he had heard that name being thrown around here and there even in the, less dirty, areas of Undermarket. Seemed this pony could really fight. Also it seemed a lot more ponies down here came to this part of town. Thinking about it a little he decided maybe to change where he got his groceries from.
The ringing of the arena bell sang throughout the district, snapping the unicorn back to reality as ponies began cheering. Looked like he would get to see for himself how good this pony really was.
Onyx continues to dig a tunnel. He hasn't had any luck finding anything he has been looking for. However, Onyx is extremely happy that his personal tunnel network is expanding. He has already set up many traps along the system, making it nearly impossible to traverse safely. Onyx comes to a stop, thinking he heard something. Onyx takes a position as the Shamans had once told him, and began to listen. While he could not hear whispers, he could almost hear shouting. Onyx hears a cracking. 'Onyx think that trap just misfired...' Onyx jumps back as a small hole appears in the floor, large enough for him to see through.
"Onyx wonder what this is?" Onyx looks through the hole, seeing a small arena. "Remind Onyx of Diamond Dog arena"
Onyx hears another cracking sound, and looking around the dimly lit tunnel, sees that a series of cracks have formed around him. "Onyx does not think this is good"
The floor collapses out from under Onyx, taking a large chunk of rock with him. It falls onto the raised dome, bouncing and landing near a group of ponies. While Onyx is dazed, several ponies with weapons surround Onyx and point their weapons at him.
Onyx looks at the ponies and says, "Onyx comes in peace?"
Hearing a crash up above, Double Edge looked up to see a diamond dog plummet from the ceiling above. Flinching slightly as he watched the dog land on the metallic dome, before hitting the ground, the black unicorn trotted toward where it had landed. Looking around he noticed he wasn't the only one with the same idea, as guards for the pit fight galloped toward where the dog had landed, weapons drawn.
Reaching where the unfortunate dog had come to a stop, Double cursed as he found the black dog already surrounded by the pit guards.
"Onyx comes in peace?" he heard the black dog mutter to the guards. Who this dog, Onyx, was, Edge couldn't decide. On the one hoof, he could certainly be a griffon spy. It wasn't uncommon for diamond dogs to work for the those winged monsters. However, if he were a spy, he certainly wasn't the best, what with him exposing himself as he did. Deciding to figure this portion out later, the rebel stepped forward. "There you are Onyx!" Edge said stepping next to the encircled dog, heaving him to this feet, "I've been looking all over for you. What did I say about digging in here, you know its not the most stable dirt." Looking to a nearby guard, Double did his best to put on a convincing apologetic face, "I am so sorry about him. I looked away for just a second and up and vanished on me again. Please if there is anything I can do to make up for this?"
"Uh...no no just get him out of here." The guard said gesturing for the others to lower their weapons. "Just keep a better eye on him okay?"
"Right I certainly will sir. He won't get away from me again." Double said as he started to tug at the diamond dog. "Come on Onyx, lets not make these nice guards ask again."
Quicksilver hovered quietly through the Undermarket, heading towards an arena while at the same time, deep in his own thoughts. 'Can't believe I'm going to have to start gambling. I'd rather just keep stealing, but that's hardly a secure source of income. Well, if I have to resort to this, least I can do is make sure I bet on the right ponies.'
The Pegasus landed and made his way to the spectator section, apparently just in time to miss a spectacle involving a diamond dog, which was now talking to a unicorn. 'Meh. Don't care about the opening acts, it's all show anyway. Less of a wait until the fighting, at least,' he thought as he took a seat.
Suture stood in an impatient manner- she was terribly bored with all of these opening ceremonies, and the money she had was definitely not going toward a situation based on luck- and, judging by the announcer's words, tonight's gambling would be just that. Two rookies going up against each other, both new to the circuit, for the most part. Well, instead of doing what a regular pony would do and have a little fun with their money, she decided to wait it out, for a definite source of income from the result of the fighting- injury. Yes, this greedy little pony was out for it for money, and money only. Well, she kinda wanted to see the fight. Bloody combat? Dear Celestia, yes.
In any case, she decided to pay no attention to her surroundings, the diamond dog crashing through the ceiling and the ever-growing audience- she was here for the fight and the result thereof.
"Yo, Shoe Toss! you're getting called to the arena." The caramel pony got up from his bench, and pulled his blonde mane away from his face. He was nervous; this is probably his most important match yet, and still, likely his toughest. But, if he was to secure his future and rise from nothing, he had to win. he needed to win.
Toss made his way past the pony that called him, and heard a quiet "Good luck in there, kid." Shoe Toss never expected any pony to care for him... "Thank you..." perhaps he really was already making a name for himself. his own thoughts were soon drowned by the roar of cheers from the arena as he continued trotting across the arena floor, the air thick with with the humid underground.
The announcers' voice boomed over the the already eminent sound, "On the East side of the ring, we have the challenger, the new up-and-coming amateur Shoe Toss!" he stood on his hind legs bumped his own front hooves together twice before continuing towards the center of the ring. never hurts to give 'em a good show...
Re: Boxing like Clockwork (OPEN) (Dated)
When the announcer called his name, Klockwek slowly trotted outside to his side of the pit. Made from an old cistern, it was 16 by 24 feet, with walls extending up 10 feet. At the top of these walls was a metal dome, covered in chain-link. Ponies, Diamond dogs, even a mule were pressed up against this chain-link dome, cheering at the bloody fight that was to follow.
Coming out of a pipe, Klockwerk was dressed in a white shirt, his mane messy, and unkempt. His coat was slightly messy, but still was the bleached lime that was his colour. Twitching an ear to all the yells and hollers, he didn't glance up at the crowd. Instead, he took in his opponent.
A caramel coated thug greeted his eyes. With a long mane of blonde, this "Shoe Toss" was an up-and-comer to the fighting ring. His wiry frame with muscle wrapped around the bones told of a classic street tough; brute force and hard living putting the bread on the table. Strong yet unskilled, and the classic pit-fighter was born.
Klockwerk was a different story. Standing fairly tall for a pony, his frame was not one that told of brute strength. Fit, but not bulging with muscle, he looked slightly under-fed. With a light stubble on his muzzle, and no-descript brown hair, he was your average Manehattener. But, what told he was something a bit more were his eyes; intelligent and always moving, always analyzing. Gray irises were a rarity among ponies as well, and added to the overall "scholarly air" of the pony.
As his contribution to the announcer entrance, he cracked his neck loudly. Walking to his opponent, he gave him a single phrase of acknowledgement.
"Good luck."
~~~~~
The announcer began listing off the rules.
"All right! The rules of this delightful establishment are as follows gentlecolts. No killing, only to knockout. Other than that, NO HOLDS BARRED! FIGHT!"

Shoe Toss bumped hooves before the fight, and ackowledged his good luck. He was going to need it. They danced around a bit before the actual fighting started. Shoe started with a couple of quick jabs to the face to throw his opponent off...

Klockwerk danced around the pit, moving on his hind legs in the unorthodox fashion of a Manehatten hoof-boxer; this style of boxing allowed one to use their forelegs as a defensive barrier. Bringing his forelegs up in a quick block, he kept the distracting jabs from connecting. This pony seemed to prefer to fight using surprise and speed; unsurprising. After blocking the jabs, Klockwerk answered with several of his own, adding a a cross in the middle to mix things up.

Shoe successful blocked the first of the jabs, but missed the one aiming for his middle. He grunted, taking the pain and not letting it show on his face. Shoe felt this was going to be a long fight. He threw a few fake jabs left and right, before throwing an uppercut his way. It wasn't particularly powerful, so if it did connect it wouldn't do much.

Re: Boxing like Clockwork (OPEN) (Dated)
Deflecting the jabs from the caramel stallion was easy; Klockwerk knew something was coming. It was a fifty/fifty chance that it was an uppercut or a haymaker heading Klockwerk's way in the near future. Guessing that the stallion would use a haymaker, he prepared a block.
Taking the hit right in the jaw, Klockwerk staggered back a couple steps. Shaking his head, he decided it was time to start fighting. This was a no-holds barred match, after all. Quickly balancing on his forelegs, Klockwerk did a 180 degree turn, and gave the street tough the classic; the infamous "Apple Buck", specialty of the Earth pony.

Not expecting the pony to recover so quickly, he was caught completely off guard by the kick. He caught him sqaure in the chest, sending him flying backwards. It knocked the wind out of him as well, so he struggled to get back on his feet. However, he wasn't down and out by a long shot.

Klockwerk kept on the defensive, back on his hind legs again. If that pony tried any funny business, he would get the receiving end of Klockwerk's front hooves.

Double Edged watched the fight with interest. The unicorn was rather interested to see how this would all turn out. Watching the two earth ponies go at it, the rebel grinned as he watched the one known as Klock recovered form Shoe. Not only did he recover quickly, but was now on the offensive. Maybe this pony needed to be visited. His skills would be nice to have. For now however, he simply sat, pulling Onyx with him. This would certain be interesting to see how it would play out.

Onyx looks towards the pony new pony. "Onyx is not sure why Pony would help Onyx. Onyx would think that Pony would be doing it to be nice, but this is no Old Ways" Onyx looks around the large room before leaning in close to the pony's ear. "Does Pony know where Onyx can find rebels? Onyx is meaning to join rebels. Onyx never liked other clans and Defilers. If Pony need information, Onyx part of Stone Clan"
Onyx walks with the pony. Onyx looks around, as if trying to find something and looks down in disappointment when he doesn't find it. "If Onyx find it any consolation, Onyx did not find other Diamond Dog tunnels apart from mine when digging."

Tunnels? Double thought out it, He knew about the labyrinth that was the Manehatten sewer tunnels, however he could only get so far with those. the only unfortunate issue about it was that they ran only so far. Outskirts was almost inaccessible, unless one actually went above ground, and that left one exposed to the feathered freaks eyes. No, no this could be good for the small group of rebels had begun to come together. This diamond dog had already mentioned that he had been digging before this...another catacomb of tunnels could be very useful. "Rebels?" Double asked, he had to be artful when it came to this sort of thing. "Yeah I heard of them. A lot of people here in Undermarket have been talking about them lately. Wait you said you've made more tunnels? Like more than that one?" Double asked pointing up to the gaping hole in ceiling. "How long have you been down here?"

Onyx thinks about the time his time in Equestria. Whether his time in Canterlot, the abandoned mine near Ponyville, or simply tunneling around Equestria in general. "Onyx has not been here very long, spending time underground make Onyx lose sense of time. Onyx usually more secure with tunnels, but Onyx think that Pony made tunnels are harder for me to detect. Onyx usually avoid them. Otherwise, Onyx not think he has been here very long. Reason why Pony does not know about tunnels is that they are usually filled with traps" Onyx thinks back to when Griffons once found his tunnels. Onyx heard that a 'ghost' had gotten them, that or some strange Pony curse.
"Onyx want to join rebels to restore old ways. Clan tell me that if Old Ways are not restored, the world shall burn." The match going on in the ring was getting loud, and Onyx was not liking it. "Onyx not like loud noises. Also, Onyx beginning to think this place is Pony sewer." A new smell wafts across Onyx, causing him to cringe.
"Onyx thinking he is beginning to ramble, like senile old dog. Could Pony now answer these questions? Where can Onyx join rebels, find gems and onyx, food, and pack member. Onyx is new to city, and is going to stay, and thinks that Pony will not like it if Onyx steal. Bring too much attention to Onyx"
Onyx wonders abut the city again. Pony Ferrous was interesting, but Onyx no longer has a living clan, and so he needs to change that, even if they aren't diamond dogs. Onyx wonders how bold he will be in order sate his need for living beings he can trust.

"Got a hot date or somethin' hot stuff?" he said, with venom.
It was all apart of the act. He really didn't hate the colt for taking him off gaurd, and admired it actually. Didn't mean he wasn't slightly miffed that he'd been sent flying.
He began sizing up the colt, and threw a few fake jabs to see if there wasn't anywhere he wasn't protecting. He seemed well centered, and not missing a beat. So, with his opponent, he tried something a bit more aggressive.
He did a strange yell before running to tackle the colt. There was no way he would miss grabbing him, but there was also no guessing what the colt would do once he got ahold of him. He hoped he could slam the colt against the walls, and wail on him from there.

Onyx notices that the pony has gone into a very long silence. He starts to think that something is wrong. Onyx begins flitting his vision between the different ponies, and panics. He begins clawing at the ground in an attempt to escape in what he thought was a trap. The guards look at Onyx and begin to move towards him.
This pushes Onyx's panic even farther, and Onyx digs even faster. By the time the guards arrive, Onyx has already vanished, a large hole where he was standing. Onyx's only thoughts were escaping, and he was successful. He covered the hole, and left himself in the tunnel. He didn't know how long he would be down here, so he would need to move quickly.

"Sorry bub, your motha ain't my type."
Chuckling at his jibe, he looked at his opponent. Sighing softly, he saw the tells of someone preparing to tackle. The slightly lowering head, the distribution of mass; the colt was actually going to try and rush him.
Staying on his hind legs, he began to weave and block. The stallions jabs were obvious tests of his blocking skill, although they still hurt his forelegs.
After a few seconds of this, the blonde-maned stallion finally showed his hand. Giving out a yell, he charged Klockwerk in the classic "Rush and Tackle" commonly used in pub-fights and muggings.
Klockwerk had his strategy already planned out. As soon as the colt reached him, he would quickly move his hindlegs back, and slam down on the stallion's upper back. If he succeeded, the colt would definitely be in trouble, possibly knocked out if his head hit the floor hard enough.

Shoe was going to learn the hard way that street fighting style wouldn't win him anything in the amateur division. Klocks plan worked almost perfectly, almost knocking out Shoe, by directing the tackle straight into the ground. However, due to the randomness of the attack, his forearms flew upward, landing one lucky powerful punch into the stallions... stallionhood.
While Shoe Toss was close to unconsciousness, and out of breath, it would take a moment to recover. However, by the look of the other writhing stallion on the floor, he still had a shot if he recovered in time.

SWEET TARTARUS THE PAIN! was all Klockwerk could think. That son of a harpy had hoofed him in his stallionhood! Wincing in pain, he got back up, and dry heaved in pain. Thank god his adrenaline was up, otherwise he would be incapacitated.
Looking at the stallion on the ground, Klockwerk's eyes burnt with anger. He was going to pay. Trotting towards him, he stood beside Shoe Toss.
"You're going to pay mother bucker."

Shoe looked up. He wasn't hardly able to move. His vision was fuzzy, and hearing was a bit numbed. He couldn't hear what the stallion had said, yet lazily stood up, and weakly put his hooves up.

Klockwerk wouldn't give the stallion a chance to even land a blow now. As Shoe Tosser stood, time almost seemed to slow as Klockwerk analyzed and planned his movements.
First, he would bat at Shoe Tosser with a feint from the left, coming in with a right cross to the side of his face. Then, he would use his momentum to push forward, driving the dazed colt backwards even more.
Time speeding up to his eyes once again, Klockwerk let out a bellow of anger and gave the colt a light loose swing to distract him from the left.

The distracting left throw worked, and he sent up all his defenses on that front. However, as Klocks plan worked. He was thrown off, hit right, then thrown backward by Klock.

Klockwerk followed through with his tackle, and watched that stallion fly backwards. If the stallion lost his balance, Klock would definately leap atop the grounded Shoe Tosser, and proceed to beat the ever loving Celestia out of his ribs. If Shoe kept his balance, however, he would proceed to give the likely dazed stallion a vicious buck to the chest, going back on all fours to balance the powerful kick.

Incredibly, the stallion was still standing, and kept his balance. Extremely dazed would be a good word. It was a miracle the colt was still standing and willing to continue to fight. Among the betting mares and stallions, a select few were groaning, while many were cheering happily.

Looks as if he wants to fight s'more... let's give the crowd a show! Quickly moving himself so he faced away from Shoe Tosser, he balanced on his forelegs and gave the mightiest buck he could muster to the stallion.

The colt was rocketed backwards, hitting the barrier at a high speed. His right back leg took the brunt of the impact, causing it to bend a painful angle, before breaking. His head also hit the wall, and it was enough to throw the colt into a small coma. He lied there on the floor. A pair of medics came in, and assessed the damages. "He's alive!" shouted one, to the crowd. A bit of disappoint to some, but the majority cheered happily. The announcer came into the ring to congratulate Klock.

Klockwerk stood in the centre of the pit, and looked up at the crowd surrounding the edge of the pit. It appeared he did not disappoint them, and gave 'em a show to remember. The announcer came, shook his hoof, and directed him to the nearby pipe that was the exit.
After getting cleaned up, Klockwerk got his bits, and proceeded to wait outside the establishment. His best gigs always came after fights, he had found, and it always helped to wait for them at the exit.

Double grinned as he watched the fight continue before Klockwerk ended it with a powerful buck that would probably make most Earth ponies jealous. Hearing the bell ring, declaring the obvious winner of the fight, the unicorn made his way through the crowd. With that taken care of maybe now he could get a chance to talk to this pony. His strength and fighting prowess looked like it could be something he could certainly use in the rebellion.
Approaching the pipe that led into the combatants locker room, Double Edge picked up the pace as he saw Klockwerk standing outside waiting, either for fans or probably something along those lines. "Excuse me Mr. Klockwerk, a moment of your time please." He called out, stopping next to the green earth pony. "I would like to have a word with you, if I could."

Klockwerk saw the unicorn trot up to him before he even spoke. Dark blue, almost black, he had a lighter hue for his mane and tail. Standard fare for an Equestrian pony, to be sure, but Klock automatically felt annoyed at the unicorn.
Lazy slobs... he thought.
Looking at the unicorn with a raised eyebrow, Klockwerk gave a purposefully crooked grin.
"A moment of my time? Whaddya want Blue?" he spoke with a neutral tone. No sense in throwing away the possibility of cash, after all.

"I was wondering," Double Edge began, "You are certainly doing an admiral thing, coming down here to get money for your dad. I do pray for his recovery. He is certainly a great pony. But I ask you this, do you yourself enjoy coming down here? Having to fight in illegal fights time and time again? After all you are a toymaker of unbelievable talent. Doesn't that line of work seem much more suiting? I believe you and I can agree on this Mr.Werk, this world, is not how it should be."

Klockwerk leaned against the wall, looking at the unicorn with the half smile on his face.
"Admirable? Nah, I'm jus' an earthpony makin' a livin' down here. And 'Uni..." Klockwerk got a glint in his eye. "I was a toymaker." Putting back on a jovial expression, he attempted to skirt past the final question of Double.
"Got a cig, 'Uni?"

"Sorry I don't smoke," Double replied, "Yes, sorry, you were a toymaker. I certainly hope that these hard times haven't driven out that ambition. You were always such a great toymaker. You're creations always seemed to catch my eye when I would walk past the store." Double chuckled at the memory. "Its a wonder how all that changed so quickly isn't? Having us resort to living down here just to try and scrape by a life we used to know. That is something I would like to change at some point."

"What if I'm happy here, 'Uni? The pubs an' rings round here... they pay just fine for a pony with my skills."

Double shrugged, "I guess you could certainly be okay with that Mr.Werk, if you were a pony that only desired money. But then again, is that what you dream of Mr.Werk? Money? Or do you have something else that drives you day after day?"

Re: Boxing like Clockwork (OPEN) (Dated)
Klockwerk shrugged. What was this pony getting at? He certainly beat around the bush... was he wanting some thug work? Something "grander"? No matter, he was getting a little too nosy...
"Listen, what drives me is keepin' my old stallion with a safe bed and food, medical 'tention if we can afford it. This-" Klockwerk extended a hoof, and slowly waved it around. "is the Undermarket. Where I can get those bits without th' Griffs gettin' antsy."
Klockwerk still leaned against the wall, and delicately took a cigar out of his shirt. It was the cheap kind you generally found in the Undermarket; crappy tobacco and other unknown stuff in it. Keeping the cigar in the corner of his mouth, he reached a hoof into his shirt again, producing a match. Placing this in the opposite corner of his mouth, he brought a hoof up. Striking the match on the rough surface he saw the flame light up his face. With deft movement of his mouth, he lit the cigar, spit out the match, stomped the flame out, and took a drag on the gigar. He let the smoke waft away from the unicorn, and looked at him with hard eyes.
"Are you sayin' you want me to give my profession up?"

"I never said such a thing. I'm merely getting at, that it doesn't seem like you were destined to just stay down here fighting pushovers in a ring for cheap bits. I don't know if you've heard about this uprising that is being orchestrated down here, but I do believe that your skills could greatly help us, both your skill with small parts as well as that of your fighting prowess." Double looked to the earth pony hoping that he could find something to work with in the ponies face, body language, anything. He just simply stated stock still smoking that cigarette. "I don't know if you are sick of living down here, sneaking away in the dead of night, just to avoid the griffons eyes. But they are, and so am I. What about you?"

Klockwerk took another drag from his cigar. Again blowing the smoke out his nose away from Double, he raised his eyebrow.
"All I've seen so far is a buncha unicorns gettin' chafed by their saddles. Nothin' else. But I make a decent living- enough to feed my dad." Klockwerk leaned forwards.
"And joinin' a group that fights the griffons doesn't give 'im safety."

"Eh, everyone will have their opinion on who we are and what we do I guess. " Double shrugged at Klockwerk's answer, not fully surprised to hear negativity about the whole issue. The rebels were still a young group, so it wasn't unexpected to hear such answers. "Though your dad's safety really only comes into question if the griffons know you are working with us. Which I don't see that happening, as for bits, or food if you'd like, we'd be happy to pay for any form of compensation. We could also give you housing down here so you wouldn't have to slip away in the dead of night."

Re: Boxing like Clockwork (OPEN) (Dated)
Breathing in and out slowly, Klockwerk pondered the unicorn's offer. He could see the reasoning behind this pony's "group", he guessed, but his father would never come down here. And what about his community? They depended on Klockwerk and his father for leadership... no, Klockwerk couldn't accept this, even if he wanted to.
Spitting his cigar away from the unicorn, Klockwerk gave a small frown.
"Sorry, but I don't think I'll be takin' th' bait."
