Re: Running on Fumes [Private, Ask First] (Dated)
Kroll continued to laugh maniacally as he rocketed towards the ceiling of the sewer, propelled by the geyser of blood and sewage; truly this was going to be a beautiful death. However, rather than the impact against unyielding concrete and brick he had expected, the griffon instead felt a rush of cold air as he was launched out of an open manhole onto the street with a wet thump. Rolling onto his back, the captain slowly opened his eyes, the stars in the sky staring down at him and filling his pupils with a million points of soft, burning light. In short, the sight was infuriatingly beautiful.
At that moment, Kroll decided that now would be as good as time as any to go insane, letting out a bloodcurdling warcry as he managed to somehow get himself upright without using any of his limbs and took off down the street, vanishing into the night.

Re: Running on Fumes [Private, Ask First] (Dated)
Sten and Jimmy were finally alone. Jimmy was streaming tears down his eyes, because he was about to kill the only friend he'd ever had. Jimmy was also a bit strung out, so his perception of the event was a bit skewed. It happened. Do you know what else happens? Shit. Shit happens.
Shit happened.
Tons and tons of shit.
Sten and Jimmy were suddenly lifted up by a sudden bloom in sewege pressure, forcefully deposited on a nearby concrete overhang. Jimmy somehow still had his sledgehammer due to contrived circumstances. Jimmy was suddenly beset with the fact that Sten was not only a griffon, but a quite large griffon, who looked somewhat angry under that laconia. Maybe Jimmy was just making stuff up.
Jimmy passed his hoof over his face in a swiping motion. "I am invisible. You don't see me."

Sten looked through his sodden fringe of feathers, dripping with sewage. He was just about hanging on to a concrete ledge and a quick glance about revealed an open drain above them. Unfortunately, his companion was convinced he was invisible.
Well, that was his problem. Sten was getting out of there. He flapped his wings to dry them off and took off for the drain cover.

Sten appeared to be looking for an exit. Good. It meant that Jimmy's ruse was a success.
Jimmy started feeling out the wet concrete with his hooves. Maybe there was a secret button that led to a hidden staircase to the city above. Jimmy stumbled forward, smashing his head through the wet cement that'd molded over. Behind the precariously thin walls, he discovered a massive Sewer Scorpion's nest. He struggled to remove his head from the wall, but his ears had corked in neatly. He flailed at the wall with his hooves, trying to get out before the scorpions could implate eggs in his gallbladder.
