Personality: A fact known only by her brother, Iris has a small horn which she hides under her hat. Having a naturally rebellious nature, Iris Hawkeye refuses to be a part of either of the opposing factions. She tries not to affiliate herself with anypony or make friends with anypony. Often times she is very fickle as to who she trusts, likes, and is neutral towards. She is never fickle towards those who she dislikes and treats them accordingly. She only helps those who she is neutral towards if she has something to gain from it.

Over the years, she has adapted the ability to keep a calm face and shut out her emotions from everything she does. If something does cause her to lose her cool (a rare occurence), her emotions tend to come out as a muffled anger. She doesn't care too much for anything, but by far, she cares the most about her brother, who is missing.

Iris Hawkeye has had no parental influence and has lived her life without taking sides and as a result has developed a set of standards and morals which most ponies would consider to be twisted or wrong. Those standards are:

- Fuck everything
- Have a plan to betray everypony you meet
- Never forget the face of those you kill
- The ends ALWAYS justify the means
- Give everypony a reason to not take advantage of you
- Stop caring, start living

History: Her father left on a trip to go study the art of shadow magic in the everfree forest when she turned 8. He never came back. Her mother was left to take care of Iris on her own. Luckily, Nele, Iris' brother was old enough to take care of himself. Nele taught Iris the shadow magic that their father had taught him. During their free time, they both practiced and studied their own fields of magic, Iris' was shadow magic, while Nele's was magic music.

When Iris turned 12, her mother died of an unknown cause leaving Nele and Iris to help themselves. Eventually they ran out of money and had to find a way to survive. Iris became a thief and stole goods using her shadow magic to help her be stealthy. Nele earned money through entertaining others with music. Together they made enough to get by, but then the gryphons attacked. During the town raid, Nele and Iris were separated and Iris has not found her brother since. At 16 years old, she has now been searching for 4 years. She wonders if her brother fell to the same fate that her father did, whatever that may be.
