Kroll let out a shout as he swung his khopesh at Aella, aiming for her polearm in hopes of knocking it out of her grasp again.

Aellas polearm was swept from under her, giving her no other option than to fall. She chose to fall on Kroll, with talons outstreched to catch herself on his armour.

Kroll collapsed into a sweaty heap as Aella fell on top of him. Breathing heavily, he pats the griffoness on the back before wiping off the sweat that matted down the feathers on his forehead. "That was good...nice work staying with it the whole time..."

Aella moved into a sitting position, panting.

"thank you sir... though I think I should try to avoid hitting my head on things for a while" she said, wiping a small amount of blood from the top of her head.

Kroll chuckled weakly as he slowly sat up. "That would be for the best...but hey, it got the job done, that's for sure..." he hisses quietly as he rubs his forehead. "Still, you held your own here. That kind of endurance and determination is what I look for in guards and guerrillas, and I don't accept anything less."

Aella bowed her head in thanks.

"Hopefully the ponies wont be as good at fighting as you sir. If they are... I might not have been worth the money it cost to bring me here"

Kroll sighed, putting a claw on Aella's shoulder. "In all fairness, I shouldn't have pitted you against Void. That wasn't a fair fight, and she isn't like anything you could possibly face here; she had been altered to be incapable of being slowed down by pain, or anything of the sort. She'll fight until she's told to stop, no thinking, no hesitating...no nothing."

"You see, there's the thing..." Kroll said as he started to rock back and forth a little. "I find that things tend grow the best when you don't set them on fire..." he looked at Aella. "Does that make any sense?"

Aella frowned for a moment, trying to interperet the... odd saying.

Kroll nodded as he got up, wiping the dirt off of him. "Good, good. Now come on, we still got a lot of training to do before the day's over."

Aella picked herself up and retreived her polearm, turning to face Kroll expectantly.

Kroll walked out of the sparring room's door, holding it open for Aella. "I got some other things set up in a few of the other rooms. The sooner we knock 'em out of the way, the more time you'll have to rest later. Now chop-chop, we're burning daylight!"

Aella trotted through the door and began following him, enjoying the familiar burn of her previous exertions in her muscles.

Kroll nodded, leading Aella to the next training area he set up. "Like I said before, you got a lot of determination in you. That's good. But in order to ensure victory, you must have surprise, fear, and intimidation on your side. For if any of these traits are lacking, it would be best if you retreated...now let's get to work; we got a lot to do, and a lot of time to do it."
