Thorins eyes lit up.

"Really? That would be fantastic!"

He smiled across the table at Evangeline. Despite the whole drug baron thing, he felt a warm glow in his breast when he looked at her. The odd hen was honestly, rather pretty and he was, well, smitten.

"It would be nice... to see it with you too" he added shyly.

She smiled, and an absent expression played across her face like she was trying to figure out what she was missing. "Well of course you'd see it with me, if I'm taking you to them. That's the only way I can think of it working out that doesn't involve me standing outside and waiting for you- is that a Tsarist thing? Do the Tsarist's make their hens wait outside?"

Evangeline's eye twinged visibly. A date? Where had communications started to break down... she was sure this conversation had been going great... where did the dating start?

She grinned and put the best face forwards she could. She wasn't ready for this... dating at least. She had to get out of here, before this Tercel started putting obligations on her- where the fuck was she? She didn't recognize the neighborhood she saw through the windows... Graaaah. "What time would be good for you?" she asked, trying to move the conversation along.

Guuuuh. She smiled and said yes. "Now, after breakfast, can you perhaps escort me out of this neck of town. I can't say I'm familiar." She shivered at the thought and hoped that she'd be somewhere in the back of the auctionhouse come tomorrow, if she remembered that far.

Thorin picked up a napkin and dabbed it at the corners of his beak before standing and placing a few coins on the table for the meal. He proffered a talon to Evangeline, smiling broadly.

"Right this way"

It was Evangeline's other eye's turn to twinge. She didn't like being touchy with anygriffon, but she'd seen the talon offered to enough ponies to know what was being asked here. Stupid curtsies, why couldn't people just go on their ways? Why did there have to be lingering contact? It always frustrated her to no end when people she hardly knew deigned to think that they deserved to invade her personal space and lay talon or hoof on her.

Of course, Evangeline didn't say this. She stifled her childish reflex and grabbed his talon. "Lead away!"
